About this listen

The Sundering toppled civilization, killed millions, and filled the world with walking corpses and supernatural monsters. It took nearly everything from Adalynn—her dreams, her home, her parents, and her chance of beating her terminal cancer—but it didn’t take her little brother, Danny. She’s come to terms with her inescapable fate, and she’ll do everything she can to ensure her brother has a chance of survival in this unforgiving new world.

When Danny and Adalynn discover a run-down mansion in the middle of nowhere, it seems like the perfect place for him to stay, but the mansion’s owner—a tall, mysterious, and intense man who exudes a strangely thrilling energy—complicates matters. Though Adalynn doesn’t want to leave another person devastated when she’s gone, Merrick has other plans for her—and he makes it clear he will keep her, no matter what price he must pay to make it so.

Wonderful

Absolutely wonderful book.
The narrator was great. His female and teenage voices were as good as his male voice. I was impressed.

Loved it!

I really enjoy all of Tiffany Roberts’s books. This one is also wonderful. A post-apocalyptic type world with magic. Tension and spice, but also deep love and affection. The narrator Matt Gardner did an amazing job.

Skip

I love these authors, but for me, this book was a miss. It’s slow, and there is little action. Also the spice is low.

What an awesome story

I really loved this story! I was really worried about the FMC for a while but this story has a HEA! I also really liked the brothers banter, he was hilarious!

Dystopian feels with Found mates

I love that it’s a dystopian aspect to the story. The only thing I didn’t understand was if the monsters already existed in the realm or they came from somewhere else? I’m not sure if I missed that. It was only described, from my recollection, that the moon caused a rift in the realm that caused chaos. Creating monsters and zombies. Merrick was already there, so the monsters were already existing? And why did the zombies turn when they died as a result of the moon? That part really bothered me why it wasn’t further explained.
Also, the guy narrating, when portraying Danny, came off really cringy. Overall, Tiffany Roberts that was another great story ❤️ Spice was 3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

His Reason For living

Loved the story and the fantastic narration . That accent took me all the way out! Hot and spicy with a great storyline! This duo is one of my favorites.

Tiffany Roberts never disappoints

Every Tiffany Roberts story OR audiobook I've listened to has been an absolute treat. They pick the best narrators and I've never been let down.

Matt Gardner's voice in general is sexy as heck, and he reads so well! His inflection and feeling are perfect. His female voices are nice and not grating. His teenage voice really impressed me as well, I don't even know how he dialed back the grown man gravel so much, haha.

Thank you, this was such a good listen.

Not my favorite Tiffany Robert's book

Don't get me wrong, it did hold my attention. Just not for very long. It was interesting enough, but I think I'm glad this is a standalone and not a series.
