Publisher's summary

After losing her job, apartment, and boyfriend in one afternoon, Zoey doesn’t think things can get any worse. Then an uninvited passenger - green, four-armed, and sexy as sin - proves her wrong by dragging her into his frantic escape. Helping Rendash is the right thing to do, but it means becoming a fugitive and risking the only things she has left - her life, and her heart.

Weakened by years of captivity and torture, Rendash, an elite aligarii warrior, seizes his only opportunity to escape. Alone in an alien wasteland, he seeks the aid of a human - one of the very species that imprisoned him. But he finds himself inexplicably drawn to Zoey, and his need to protect her soon wars with his mission - return to his homeworld.

With a shadowy government agency pursuing them, Zoey and Rendash must race across the country before he is recaptured, and she is thrown in a dark cell as a traitor to her kind. But their greatest obstacle may be the most unlikely - their insatiable attraction to one another.

very good!

Tiffany Roberts is an automatic go to, when in the mood for a good alien romance. This did not disappoint. Will read more by this author.

Pretty good

The story was “pretty good”. There was tension, adventure, love. But I must admit I had trouble identifying with the male alien. He was so … alien. Nevertheless, I did keep listening. And while I didn’t mind the death of the “bad guys”, I did have trouble accepting the death of those who simply followed orders.

So do they have Rendash on Amazon??

Oh my god! Where do I begin?? This from start to finish was beautiful. There were so many times I was on the edge of my seat or on the edge in general hearing this! My gosh and the narrator did an amazing job bringing the characters and setting to life. The cherry on top was the plot was just as amazing as the spicy scenes 🥴😏🔥

Zoey & Rendash, how do I live thee...So very much!

I'm going to break this review into two parts. The first I'll address is the story, the second narrator.

Zoey and Rendash, how do I live thee... I love thee a heckin lot! What's so special about these two, and about reading/listening to their story, is that we get to watch their care, attraction, and love grow for each other, and in that order. This isn't an insta love story, but they quickly grow to care for each other based on their deeds and actions, and who they are as living beings. I love that, when seeing each other's inner beauty, it makes them look more closely at how the differences of their outward appearance only make them even more beautiful, and special. Poor Zoey constantly gets the middle finger by life, but she keeps pushing through, keeps doing her best to stay strong. Not only that, when the weight of it starts dragging her down, we get a Hero that gives her the strength to stay strong. I really appreciate when the heroine doesn't just throw in the towel and wait for the Hero to take care of everything. Instead, we get a Hero who pushes his heroine to stay strong and keep going, and the heroine accepts his encouragements. And Zoey, in return, shows Rendash that he's worth more than the life of fighting that he's always known. Seriously, these two are so perfect for each other. I never tire of watching these two grow to love each other.

Now, onto the narration.
I'm going to be honest that I am a *very* avid Tiffany Roberts fan. This husband and wife writing duo consistently writes stories that I devour time and time again, and never tire of revisiting. Having this book released on Audible was like an early birthday gift. That being said, I will admit that I was a little concerned, at first, if the narration would hold up to the story. I have a soft spot for Rendash, so, even though I tried to reign in my expectations, they were still high, and I really wanted his yumminess to translate across with the narration, while at the same time, I hoped he didn't make Zoey sound weird trying to do a female's voice, which thankfully, he did not. Anyone who listens to a lot of audiobooks knows what I mean... I don't know if everyone is like me, but I don't always listen to the whole sample because I don't want too much of the story out of context from the middle of the book. I listen long enough to hear the narrator(s) to see if they have potential to not ruin listening to what could be a great story. I personally felt like the sample may not have done this narrator justice. The scene in the sample is definitely a great and funny part of the book, but as I said, I don't listen to whole samples, so I missed the fact we got a taste of the narrator doing the voices of our couple till almost the very end of the sample. If I was going into this book blind, not already knowing I would love the story, and the narrator's voice held a huge sway over whether I would buy it, or not, the sooner we could have heard him doing Rendash's voice in the sample, the faster I would have clicked buy. If you like your male narrator's to give you a deep delicious voice (btw, it gets even deeper than in this sample...swoon), plus a great alien accent for your Hero, Eric Drummond more than nailed it in this book. The first time he did Rendash's voice in the book, no joke, I got literal goosebumps. Whew boy... thank you Mr. Drummond! I don't know if he's great at other accents, but the one he created/did for this Hero was great.

My one and only complaint for this whole book was that there was one itty bitty tiny loose end, but I'm contenting myself by holding on to hope that maybe one day in the far future, that loose end just leaves a tiny sliver of a window that this world could be revisited for their story to be written.

This audiobook will definitely be an audiobook I will revisit many times over in the future.

Pretty Good

The storyline was interesting and different from other books in this genre. Lots of action. The narrator did a great job with characters; was able to differentiate between characters.

I’m in love with Rendash

He’s the perfect man, and I just want to hear his words and his accent over and over and imagine how it must feel to have someone like this in my life.

This romance is perfect balance of a slow build that happens quickly due to immediate chemistry. At no point did I roll my eyes at unnecessary angst, or feel that bad he chemistry was rushed. You perfectly see how love develops between these two.

As soon as the book was over I started it again! More please!

Great book

In my opinion this book had a really good story. I just couldn’t get past the lisp of the narrator. I don’t know if that’s on purpose or it’s just part of his speaking pattern, so sorry if it is. I also wish it had been read by a male and female narrator. I’m getting really spoiled by the dual point of view told by the different sexes. Anyway, I did finish the Audio version of the book. I would definitely recommend you read this book and not buy the audio just because of the narration, it gets annoying quickly. I couldn’t because I’m on the go so much. Thanks to the author for a great book.
