About this listen

Powerlessness = Strength

We suffer from the most insidious kind of addiction - one we don't even realize we have. It is the addiction to power itself.

Both the Twelve Steps of recovery and the ancient teaching of Advaita reveal that powerlessness is the secret to genuine strength.

The proposition that lasting peace in life can come through the recognition of complete personal powerlessness may seem counterintuitive and ultimately ridiculous. Yet, lasting peace is the miracle The Way of Powerlessness makes possible.

So much was relevant in this audiobook that I will purchase the book to visit it with my pencil and paper.

Life changing

I never imagined that the 12 Steps could be so accessible and helpful. I’ve always found the Big Book off-putting, but Wayne, by skillfully including the philosophy of Advaita, has helped me see them from a very different and welcome perspective. To me, Wayne Liquorman brought personal and independent powerlessness out of mere scholarship to an everyday way of life for people like me. The only other writer who compares is Ramesh Balsekar, especially his early writings. Try Wayne and Ramesh, both uncomplicated and accomplished writers.

Unimaginably helpful and masterfully written blending of 12 Steps and Advaita

For anyone who has and is seeking some clarity , help , inspiration and consolidation on their spiritual journey,this is a wonderful listen,
I frequently adjust the sleep timer on the iPad Audible app and let Wayne read me to sleep

What disappointed you about The Way Of Powerlessness?

I was never an alcoholic or addicted to drugs. This book is mainly about the 12 step AA programs for alcoholics.
