About this listen

The Way You Look Tonight is the newest book in Bella Andre's New York Times and USA Today bestselling Sullivan series. Over a million books sold so far!

As a very successful private investigator who has caught most of the cheaters in Seattle with their pants down, Rafe Sullivan believes true, lasting love only happens once in a blue moon. Needing to get away from the city to clear his head, he finds the lake house where he spent the best summers of his life is now a wreck…but the sweet girl next door is all grown up and prettier than anything he's ever seen.

While Brooke Jansen is happy making and selling chocolate truffles in her small Pacific Northwest lake town, she secretly longs to experience something wild. So when her favorite "Wild Sullivan" moves in again next door after more than a decade away, and sparks fly between them, she can't stop wondering if being bad is really as good as it always seemed…and just how long it will be before she can find out.

But when their summer fling quickly spirals into deeper emotions than either of them were expecting, can they survive the heat between them? Or will Rafe make the biggest mistake of his life and end up losing the best thing that's ever happened to him?

Decent Book

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book to a friend because of the sexual content. It has a good story & is written well. I just do not care for the sexual content.

The way you look tonight

I like the way Bella deals with Complex personalities and deep and meaningful relationships. Attraction and wonderful childhood memories of both Brook and Rafe provided a healing platform for them, as they developed this relationship, because the had both suffered some Emotional Trauma

Rafe Can Investigate Me Anytime

I didn't want the Sullivans to end so I'm glad we now get the Seattle Sullivans. This is another episode of how a member of the perfect family finds love. A great sweet and cute romance. This is a light and easy listen and Eva Kaminsky does a wonderful job with the Sullivans.

Although this is a sweet romance there are explicit sex scenes -- sweet romantic sex scenes.

I've listened to the entire series at least twice so definitely worth the credit.

Love is forever.

I just finished listening to one of my favorite Sullivan family books. After 50+ years with my late husband, I have to agree with Brooke, Love Is Forever. Great story by a great writer. Look forward to the next Audible. Eva Kaminski did a wonderful narration.

Very Good Story

This story is a good read. Rafe is a jaded private invstigator who also spent many years on th police force. His view of the wolrd is from the point of catching men cheating on their wives time and time again.
Brooke is a sheltered woman who has finally broken from her parents smothering and settled into a lif where she is constantly recreating herself to become the woman she wants to be.
They were childhood friends who lived next door. Brooke was Rafe's sister's best friend growing up. They find each other again when Rafe buys his childhood home and comes to unwind for the summer.
They have instant chemistry and bridge the gaps of time, Rafe's preception of her still being a nine year old to his fourteen year old self, as well as distance.
They explore some kinky sex in their journey to the alter.
This is a feel good romance with sex sprinkled in.

A Great Way to Enjoy Bella's Work

Would you consider the audio edition of The Way You Look Tonight to be better than the print version?

I think this enhances the print version. But it is a great alternative.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brooke Jansen was my favorite character. She's got a great profession and had me wishing that this came with smell-a-vision. And having a female narrator also helps the reader identify with the female character.

Have you listened to any of Eva Kaminsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I have not but am looking forward to changing that. Just by the sound of her voice she paints a great picture of the Sullivan family. You also won't get bored listening to her.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me smile. It's a great way to fall in love with a family who seem to care about each other.

Any additional comments?

If you've never experienced an audiobook before, this would be a great way to change that. If you're a fan of Bella Andre, you should experience one of her books in audio form. This would be a great one to take to the beach or a lake (a great way to set the ambiance).

Easy Reading/Listening

Bella Andre has just been added to my favorite author's list. After reading/listening to this first book in the new series featuring the Sullivan's, I am officially addicted. My library won't be complete until the entire series belongs to me. Each member of the Sullivan's large, interesting, talented, intelligent, successful, and endearing family each have a story that I am excited about hearing. Bella Andre has rekindled my desire to read!!!

EASY LISTENING ROMANCE

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. That said, when I get tired of intense drama, sex, mystery, and plot, I turn to BA's books. I love the Sullivan series and am glad to see it's extension to another branch of the family.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I think the disparity between Brooke & Rafe makes the story interesting. The least interesting is that the story didn't really have much depth and it seemed rushed; rushed to meet again, rushed to love, rushed, rushed, rushed, almost as if BA was trying to hurry through the book in order to get to another.

Which scene was your favorite?

The end when Rafe is making his amends. (No spoilers)

What would have made this romance irresistible?

More "story".

Any additional comments?

Not BA's best, but easy, soft and enjoyable.

Not too bad!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, it says you sometimes need to trust in blind faith.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would probably have Mea run into her lost love at the end of the story.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Kind of slow

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No
