By the numbers parnaromal romance

If you could sum up The Witcher Legacy in three words, what would they be?

slow but nice

What other book might you compare The Witcher Legacy to and why?

The Witching Hour by Anne Rice for the slow pace and the evil of the home.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was where Michael saved the day and stopped the cop from trying to rape Melissa.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me cry in frustration at the choice made by the main female character Melissa. It was obvious that the home was haunted but she wanted to know more about her family. Ugh

Not for me....

I rarely review, but I have to say this book was a little disturbing. The development was way to fast and then it just got dark.

Should have been shorter

The first thirteen chapters could have been dropped or rather consolidate to three or less. Way too blotted with stupid will they won't they trop. Way too many romance authors rely this for "tension" building. It's so annoying. I was really hopeful for this book for all the praise is seems to have. It's not a bad book by all means, just not my cup of tea.

No, no, noooo.

First had to translate every contraction that Susan Marlowe couldn't pronounce, making every character in the book sound like they ALL had a speech impediment, into words. Second it seemed that after I got over that, the story was boring. too bad.

The Witcher Legacy

This is actually pretty good. I enjoyed the characters and listening to the story. I was sad when it was over.

not nearly what i expected

What disappointed you about The Witcher Legacy?

I was expecting more spooky of a story. there were parts that were leading into something really good but then it veered off and left me hanging. I was also not impressed at all with the narrator. During the first love scene i was sooo bored i had to actually turn the book off and listen to something else and when i came back i just skipped over that part. It was just too long and drawn out with the narrators speach

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the concept of the ghost story romance. I liked how when they were fixing up the house that the creepy stuff started happening right away, but then veered off and left it hanging

Would you be willing to try another one of Susan Marlowe’s performances?

No

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I think the basic story was good, i would either like a different narrator or just reading the hard copy for myself. One of my favorite parts was with her taking a bath and being held under and when she finally got out she noticed the water trail to the door that shouldn't be there.

Ehh (no spoilers)

I hate ragging on an author's pride and joy but here it goes. I found the setting of this book ideal. I liked the traditional haunted house feel and even the southern aspect of it. Overall, it's a good beach read or maybe something light for Halloween. However, this novel lacks deep character development and an engaging story line. I found myself rolling my eyes at a few predictable moments. If you love the details of a Stephen King novel, this is not for you. As for the narrator. Bless her heart. Her accents were terrible. Being a southerner myself with British relations, I laughed at her attempts.

Narrator ruined it for me

I barely made it through this book. I found myself getting agitated and frustrated. it seemed very drawn out and there were scenes that were illogical. I probably would've given it a better rating but the narrator just ruined it for me.

I really tried

I really did give it a good try. I have 2 hours left in this book and just don't care enough to finish the book. The narration of this book is just boring. There were some very exciting things happening, but the scene did not come to life with the monotone narration. The story is a little rough. I was ok with Michael and Melissa's relationship till the end of the book.
