About this listen

The second and final audiobook in the sexy First Witch duet with an HEA ending.

My name is Freyja. I will soon cease to exist unless I acquire a cure for my curse from the fey in the twilight realm. The fey empress will kill me if she learns I'm an abomination - a Nephilim. And I'm not just the spawn of any angel, but the monstrous angel king she beheaded.

The smoking-hot, formidable Dragonian prince, my abductor, knows nothing about my curse or that I am his fated mate he is desperately searching for - the First Witch. As we draw close to the fey territory, a horde of my father's former sentinels captures me. They plan to harvest my magic and drain me to resurrect the High Lord of All Angels - my evil grandfather.

The prince comes for me and saves me from the horrific fate, yet he still has to choose either the First Witch or me as the wolf girl. Though his passion for me burns hotter than flame, a Dragonian never strays from a decided course. He believes if he picks me, he'll lose his future mate and the great kingdom she's meant to bring him. He doesn't know the witch and the wolf girl are one and the same. If he chooses the witch instead of me - hot, fresh, eager, and right in front of him - he'll lose both.

Wonderful Journey with Unforgettable Characters

It's quite a journey Freyja takes Ares. He's very focused on finding the witch, who is Freyja, and we get a lot as they quibble and try to fight their chemistry. It's an unpredictable, but very enjoyable journey. This is a voluntary review of a gifted copy, but also a follow up book to tie everything together. Well written and great voice talent.

Good continuation of the first of the duet...

It would be difficult to review The Witch’s Consort without mentioning the first book in the series, The Dragonian’s Witch. The books should be listened to together. The author does an excellent job of world building without getting too bogged down in unnecessary details. In the first book, I loved the strength of the heroine. She stood up for herself against some very powerful alphas, and the push and pull between the hero and the heroine captured my interest. Unfortunately, in the second book, I felt like both main characters became petulant and contrary just to create unnecessary angst. That said, it was still a good read with an exciting storyline and a satisfying conclusion.

I enjoyed the narrator of the first book more than Victoria Mei, but both narrators did a good job. Usually, the substitution of a narrator in a series is very disruptive, but it only took me a few chapters to get used to the new voice for each character.

I received a copy of The Witch’s Consort from the author and Audio Boom in exchange for an honest review.

Let this audio grab you

Even though this is book 2 in the series and I haven’t heart book 1 it will still grab you and you’ll be wondering what happened. Supposedly it continues right from the end of book 1. This is a YA paranormal audio , my first of that kind .

Victoria Mel was great narrating this story. Her voice is smooth, strong and clear . She brings that characters to you .

Freya is worried that some people , enemies are and will take her to the dark lord . Ares is her other half but he doesn’t know what to do with his felling Freya plays the jeolous part, but Ares is telling her there is no one else .

Narrator

I enjoyed the story but the narrator has a lisp and makes the men sound gay. It’s extremely annoying. If you can get past that it’s worth a listen

A sizzling read!

Loved loved the first book and this book simply blew me away. Absolutely wonderful story. The action. The suspense. The steam. Oh boy.

The writing was beautiful. Brilliant story. These two main characters were amazing - loved them though the hero was blind to what was right in front of him and I just wanted to kick him for no realising it sooner! All the clues were there!

The narration was amazing. Great voice. So lovely!

What I had been waiting on...

So first thing I'll say is if you've not read the first in this series, pick it up in addition to this book. I loved the first book and this one didn't disappoint me in the least! I feel like I had been waiting forever to hear more of the story, but it was worth the wait! This is definitely one to pick up!

I’ve re read this so many times

The writing is one of the authors older that I’ve read, and it comes off as a little juvenile… with several grammatical and spelling errors throughout- this being said, it’s my absolute favorite by her and one of my favorite re reads. A guilty pleasure. This was my first time listening to it, and it was kinda pretty cringe. The narrator wasn’t the worst I’ve ever heard- she was solidly in the middle- but all of her male characters sounded like Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted’d Excellent adventure- super weird, as I never have pictured the H as a surfer boy type.
🥲
