Publisher's summary

Positive psychologist and career coach Stella Grizont reveals eight skills for anyone to take control of their career and improve their happiness, satisfaction, and engagement.

If you are feeling dissatisfied, bored, miserable, or just unenthusiastic about your work, it is not all your fault. But, as workplace happiness expert Stella Grizont asserts, it is your responsibility to do something about it.

The Work Happiness Method teaches the 8 essential skills—including Resilience, Clarity, Purpose, and Boundaries—necessary to feel happier and more fulfilled no matter where you work or who you're working with. Guiding listeners step by step with evidence-based techniques, it shares the latest research on the science of happiness, leadership development, neuroscience and behavioral economics to help explain how your mind works and how to finally wake up excited for the day ahead. There is no corporate BS or big picture commentary about adapting to the new economy, 4-hour workweeks or the freedom of self-employment and flexible schedules; it's entirely a roll up your sleeves and figure things out yourself approach to love your work (and life).

Helpful strategies reimagined

I really enjoyed this audio. It was helpful to hear familiar success strategies reimagined in an even more helpful and productive way. I think anyone looking for a way to recharge their positive mindset around work or life in general would benefit greatly from using the tools Stella offers here.

I personally only have one small “issue”. Stella did such a wonderful job doing a heart felt read of the introductory section and while the pro reader is very good I would love to hear the stories and strategies in the authors own voice all the way thru the audio.

Helpful, but could be better

I purchased this audiobook after hearing Stella on a Podcast. I purchased thinking that she would be doing the reading since the sample was in her voice, but no such luck. I wish the book was in her voice. I also found it hard to relate to oftentimes since I don't have children, and she talks about her feelings surrounding parenting to great lengths... a lot. I may re-read and try to skip the parts I cannot relate to.

I am a living proof that this method works.

Same job for 47 years and still enjoying it.
It is not an easy task to explain to young generation that no matter where they will go they will take themselves with them.
Confucius says: "Learn to love the job that you have and you will never have to work a day in your life."
Change yourself, change your way of looking at life and your life will change for the better.
Use this book as a guide to make the world a better place. Be happy!
Thank you, Stella
