About this listen

The World According to Bandit is the overlapping sequel to the novel I Fix Broken Things by Riano McFarland. While the stories overlap, the perspective from this four-legged storyteller’s point of view offers a unique twist on the adventures of the Abernathy “pack” in the quaint little town of Mountain Home, Idaho.

Bandit’s simplistic take on things is clearly defined by one cardinal rule: Protect the pack against anyone and everything posing a threat to them. Whether they are nature’s indigenous predators or intruders of the two-legged variety, facing off against Bandit is a terrifying prospect in which only one can emerge victorious. Bandit’s love for everyone close to him is matched only by his unquestioning respect for Malcolm—the alpha of the Abernathy Pack. Your acceptance into the pack hinges solely on the alpha’s approval or disapproval, and the last place you want to find yourself is at odds with the pack’s fearless gatekeeper. Bandit’s autobi-dography is an endearing tale of love, dedication, and unwavering loyalty by man’s best friend, and an enemy’s worst nightmare!

Great book with dogs. Bandit the main character makes the book amazing. The narrator does a very good job and the book it self is very enjoyable.

Bandit and his mixed match pack (family) is one of the most heart pounding, heartwarming stories I have heard in a long time. A little no name puppy was adopted from a rescue and it turned into one heart pounding adventure after the other. He was given the name Bandit but that was just a name because he became a home town hero and legend. I don't want to give away to much but don't worry Bandit made it through the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a lover of animals and believes that they share an honorable mention as they too are sentient beings. The story is phenomenal and had me on the edge of my seat I became so invested in Bandit and his merry little mixed pack that includes his human mom and dad, human brother Mikey and his little dog sister Coco. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.

Yep he did it again! I absolutely love dogs and I love reading/listening to good stories about dogs. Especially working dogs. And those told by the dog. This one did not disappoint. Great from the beginning to the end. The story of a Cain Corso named Bandit who gets adopted by a family. Bandit’s alpha human is Malcolm who is the father in the family. Bandit uses skills he and Malcolm hone to rescue and help several people and they become hometown heroes. Great job by both the author and the narrator to deliver a fun and interesting story.

Another great read!

Heartwarming and cute companion story to "I Fix Broken Things." The story is told from a dog's perspective paralleling "I Fix Broken Things." Bandit is adopted as a puppy and he quickly acclimates to his "pack" with Malcolm Abernathy leading it.

Tyler Boruff's narration was outstanding.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

It's told from the prospective of the dog. The narrator was excellent. The story was unique in it's premise. It might be difficult to do a sequel though.
I HIGHLY Recommend this book to any Dog Lovers!

I Loved the entire story.

This was a cute story that was mostly told from the dog’s point of view. I loved the play on words in the title, and this same thing happened off and on throughout the story. Of course the dog and his family are the heroes in the book, but it was interesting to find out how they helped their community. There was some swearing and the Lord’s name was used as a cuss word, but it wasn’t prevalent throughout the story. There was also some implied violence and crime, but again, it was in conjunction with the story. This does have fowl language. I received an audiobook in order to give an honest unsolicited review.

The World According to Bandit is a fabulous story by
Riano D McFarland. I believe that this author writes exceptional stories. I loved that the story followed Bandit from puppy to older dog and is told from Brandit's point of view. He sees "Dad" as the alpha of his pack. I thought that Tyler Boruff was outstanding in his narration. Family, love and loyalty by the best dog ever will fill your heart with joy.

Fabulous Autobi-dography!
