Publisher's summary

If you want to discover the captivating history of the Wounded Knee Massacre, then pay attention...

The Wounded Knee Massacre is often glossed over in textbooks, talking about the event in a generalized manner. But such a generalized representation undermines the real impact and significance of the events that happened on that fateful day, making it one of the most tragic events in Native American history.

To establish the facts of what occurred, most of the details taken into account in this audiobook while analyzing and discussing the events of the Wounded Knee Massacre are taken from the records of the American participants of the war, as well as from military records of the investigation into what happened and the subsequent trial of one of the participants of the massacre.

In this audiobook, we aim to provide the listener with a more in-depth look at the factors and major players in the Wounded Knee Massacre, as well as the significance of its aftermath.

In The Wounded Knee Massacre: A Captivating Guide to the Battle of Wounded Knee and Its Impact on the Native Americans After the Final Clash Between Federal Troops and the Sioux, you will discover chapters such as:

  • A Short Introduction of the Lakota Tribe and the Ghost Dance Movement
  • A Brief Overview of the Relationship between the US Government and the Native American Population of America

Awesome

I feel it be a historical classic audible, as it compares to the regular violation of the Native American population. I'm very happy I bought the audible, as it adds greatly to the overall learning experience and construction enjoyment.

Great information!

The descriptions are honest and never weak, yet I cannot imagine putting it carefully without sorrow or finishing it without a more careful, critical view of US history. Bitter medicine.

Really happy with this audible

It explains the story the history books left out, and the moviemakers wouldn't touch. The success of Native Americans was a story of lies, deceit, and virtual genocide on the part of the U.S. government; love to be proud of, by any account.

A clear-eyed analysis of Native American history.

I got it brief but interesting. I didn't get bogged down with too many unneeded facts Again. I prescribe this to all history buffs

I highly recommend it.

This audible shows us vital looks of our moral and mental roots, allowing us to better recognize those areas in which the vision of liberty has been gloriously received today and those areas in which, sad to say, it has grown quite dark indeed.

The Wounded Knee Massacre

I am so happy I follow this audible and have taken a great interest in the history of the Native Americans and then on the other I hope I hadn't because I cannot know their reasons behind such evil ways.

An audible I will ready again...

As a Native American & lawyer who practices Indian law, I enjoyed the author's research into a history that is largely overlooked by the general public and the US educational system. Well done!

Incredible

A great writer who explained the facts of what it meant and means and continues to expect to be an Indian in the country now known as America.

Captivating book

My heart grieves for what was done to them and is loaded with shame for the White race in America, of which I am a part. There is no return for what we did, but to do everything we can to preserve Native American history in any way we can.

lots of info

However, it is still a masterpiece and a standard, contributing original insights from firsthand sources (the firsthand sources are a hugely underrated part of the book.)
