About this listen

He was chasing a career-making story. But this disturbing mystery has already gone viral...

Freelance journalist Nathan Troy is a global citizen looking for eye-opening news. Living in Beijing, he stumbles upon a ward full of patients afflicted with an unknown, deadly disease. Facing closed doors and open hostility, he won't rest until he exposes the dark conspiracy.

But as he digs deeper for answers, mysterious figures try to scare him off the trail with tortuous violence. To his horror, it looks as though there's no stopping a shadowy cabal of mad scientists from wielding an epidemic designed for ethnic cleansing. Can Nathan uncover the truth, or will his shocking scoop land him in the morgue?

The Year of the Rabid Dragon is the first book in the Nathan Troy Mystery series. If you're curious about nefarious uses for CRISPR technology, boots-on-the-ground reporters, and vibrant Chinese culture, then you'll love L. H. Draken's thought-provoking novel.

Captivating!!

This fictional medical thriller was packed with a delightful and informative perspective of living in the real world of China. Great narrator and very descriptive writing. Nathan Troy is just a genuine investigative reporter looking for a story. when he stumbles into a mysterious cover-up at a local hospital. He is then pressed to choose between his own fear or the greater good!

It says 18 hours. But it is actually much shorter

The book is not 18 hours long. The story is decent but does not have a satisfactory ending.

"Release the Draken!" ( Sorry, just had to get this out) I was glued to this one. The descriptions of everyday citizans of China and their lives proved fascinating. The mystery of the terrifying disease was interesting, too. I really liked lis-tending to this one.

Very disappointed

This book was not why I expected at all. Very boring , dragged on about unnecessary stuff and stories and very little in the way of the virus story.
