Not enough to give an honest review. It was interesting and the narration was well done. I would like to read the full story when it's available.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I needed more!

Interesting. Just when you are getting into the story, it ends on a cliff hanger. I like the sound effects. Narrator did a good job. I received this audio book for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

Basically, this is a serialized story that apparently goes along with a comic book. I was a little intrigued but I'm not all in just yet. I may come back and edit my review once I've read the comic, but for now it seems a little pointless. The narration, for all of 5 minutes, is good (for what it is).

kind of pointless to me

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. It’s very short. VERY. Entertaining, and good narration. Hopefully they do a full length audiobook.

Short, but good

There is nothing wrong with this audiobook... except it's the 5 minute reading of a comic. It's a trailer for a series on Amazon Prime too. I'll check out the series but I don't think I'd pay for this product even though it's cheap. It's still only 5 minutes long. I confess I got a free copy for review purposes and I would also point out the opinion is still my own and was not solicited or incentivized by the writer or the narrator.

It's 5 Minutes Long

Although the comic books and/or videos of this series may be good I don't think audio is the best format for this work. Perhaps the videos might be successful on Audible. What we have here is just a short teaser to get you to look into the comics and videos on Amazon. I'd like a full-length episode, but not this. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wrong format!

I'm giving this book 4 1/2 stars because in just 5 minutes this author had me invested enough to say, Aww.. come on!! Who is it? And that takes skill for such a uber short tease.
The narrator deserves 5 stars for his enthusiastically animated performance complete with sound effects. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

What happens next??

This isn't writing as much as it is description of what's happening in a comic book. I'd be interested in reading the comic but this didn't work in audio form.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Wrong format choice

Some short fiction can have real punch. Some couple of minute long stories really pack a whollop in their short time. This is not one of those.

Maybe the fact that the English in the blurb has some basic mistakes in it, and doesn't actually make sense - 'and missions these survivors with go through to find the ultimate cause, cure, and eradication of The Z Virus.' should have been a tip off to the expected quality.

The description in the blurb says it is 'an apocalyptic comic book' but it literally is someone reading out a coming book. The describe the panels. 'David goes up the stairs'. 'David sees someone get shot'. David does this, David does that. Sentences 5 words long is the standard here to describe any action. Beyond that nothing is described.

The story has someone, David, wake up in a bunker, go to find someone named Alex. Kill a zombie or two. Gunshot heard and someone get's shot. That's it.

Normally I would avoid spoilers but there is pretty much nothing here to spoil. It ends with a 'Bang. Someone got shot. Who got shot? Find out in volume 2'. Ugh. sorry but you haven't made me care enough to want to find out.

Narrator Mark J. Cayco does fine with what he is given to work with, which is not a lot. There is a lot of onomatopoeic sounds (boom, crash, pow, biff) and gurgles from zombies, which he does well. There is no 'character' in his reading of what is said by David, but there is so little there it would be hard to manufacture.

It seems this 'book' is basically a short advertisement for a video series available on Amazon Prime. Maybe the video series is good, and worth checking out, but this audiobook isn't.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily. I wish I could give a better review, but I can't.

What can you do with 5 minutes? Not much this time

This was an interesting read for me. I'm a big zombie fan and can say I haven't read something like this before. It almost goes from a third person description into a first person at times. Narrator is pretty good for the type of audio style.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Very short but a different fun read
