About this listen

A perfect murder...a faceless witness...a lone courtroom champion knows the whole truth....and he’s only 13 years old.

Meet Theodore Boone. In the small city of Strattenburg, there are many lawyers, and though he’s only 13, Theo Boone thinks he’s one of them. Theo knows every judge, policeman, court clerk - and a lot about the law. He dreams of being a great trial lawyer, of a life in the courtroom.

But Theo finds himself in court much sooner than expected. Because he knows so much - maybe too much - he is suddenly dragged into the middle of a sensational murder trial. A cold-blooded killer is about to go free, and only Theo knows the truth. The stakes are high, but Theo won’t stop until justice is served.

As always, John Grisham wrote another great book. I wasn't thrilled with Richard Thomas as the narrator. His voice lacked the usual enthusiam of previous narrators and he was not expert in moderating his voice for different characters.

Great book!

The main story line is left unfinished. The book feels incomplete and the end is disappointing

disappointing

I enjoyed the story, and found it kept me listening straight through. The narrator was very effective. I picked the book because I anticipated it would be less violent and gruesome than Grisham’s other novels for adults, but the characters are somehow less well filled out and the situations somewhat idealized compared to other Grisham books.

Meant for juveniles and rather sacharine

Good plot, well developed characters, intriguing story-relatable to most young people and adults alike

Great series for youth readers

Would you consider the audio edition of Theodore Boone: Kid Lawyer to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version. But the book was enjoyable and reminded me of my fantasies early in my career.

What did you like best about this story?

Which scene was your favorite?

I read the series and that would be hard to say, but the realization that he was already a lawyer in his mind.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Can't remember.

Any additional comments?
