About this listen

A brand spanking new bedroom farce about three couples who say what they oughtn't, do what they shouldn't, and deliver terrific one-liners while doing it. Featuring a full cast starring Richard Kind, Joey Slotnick, Jeffrey Donovan, Mandy Siegfried, Clea Lewis, and Alan Mandell.

Editorial reviews

Peter Ackerman's bedroom farce is a well-recorded over-the-top observation on modern sexuality. The cast of characters includes three sets of lovers - gay, straight, and other, who sort through their hang-ups and turn-ons in a sassy, sexy free-for-all. The acting ranges from vanilla to tutti-frutti, but all concerned, including the audience, seem to have agreed to simply enjoy the ride. At times gratuitously shocking, the play is like an audio Scorpion Bowl with straws for six. Don't know what a Scorpion Bowl is? It's the exotic tropical drink with the strong warning at your local Chinese restaurant: "May make you forget what you've said or done."

Critic reviews

"The hilarious dialogue just gets better and better as the lines fly by." (New York Daily News)
"These naturally funny actors...turn the mating dance into a ribald gavotte." (The New York Times)

Quick wit and so much fun. Loved each character. Definitely recommend but for adults only

Hilarious

This is not a great play, but it is quite entertaining, and the six actors are skilled at keeping you going in an audio medium. Like many farces, it loses some steam during the second half, when the absurdity begins to sound a little desperate, but it is constantly funny and you find yourself liking the characters, despite (or because of?) their considerable oddness. At any rate, I enjoyed it and will listen to the first half several more times. Overall, a very good audio production.

Well worth a listen.
