Publisher's summary

Passed over for promotion and dumped by her boyfriend, Nina O'Malley is further frustrated when her editor assigns her one of the "soft” stories she despises - covering a gala benefit supporting the AIDS Memorial Quilt. More determined than ever to prove she deserves a promotion to the New York office, Nina decides to write a series featuring a local quilting group raising money for AIDS research.

At the event, she runs into her high school nemesis: Greg is a widower and the adoptive father of Jazarah, an HIV positive girl from Ethiopia. Unlike Nina, Greg has faith in a loving God, and he trusts in God's plan for his life.

Greg and Nina grow closer, and as Nina interviews the quilt families, she begins to question the choices she has made and her lack of faith. Nina suddenly finds herself facing two possible dreams, two paths for her life.

Excellent! Hard subject done well & heartfelt!

I loved it! It is very tough subject that some still have strong judgment about... This was so well researched, so well written without an ounce of opinion. It definitely touches on faith, spirituality and Christain beliefs (i.e., Bible study) but again without judgement or forcing the reader to listen to the author's personal viewpoint (aside from the POV from the characters). I love that the romance was subtle and not apparent if there was a HEA coming or not.

Narration was very well read.

Recommend for those looking for self reflection and feel good subject matter.

Inspirational and informative

I learned a lot about AIDS, its history, the people it touched, the public assumption and stigma, and the Memorial Quilt. Treatment has come a long way since AIDS was discovered, but no one should forget how friends and family of those who died are still grieving yet moving forward.

By the way, Is it weird that her two suitors are named Greg and Brady?

Christian Contemporary Romance

This story is both an entertaining love story and an educational documentary on HIV and aids. Sprinkled throughout the pages of love and loss is information to help educate the reader and distinguish between facts and fiction regarding this horrible disease.
The narration was good. I was curious why the nanny still sounded so African when she was adopted by an American family when she was a teen. Many people loose their distinguishing tongue after so many years in America.

Very Enjoyable Read

I really enjoyed this story although I wish the character development had been better and the end came about a little quick. I would have enjoyed a little more especially about the ball. All in all I really enjoyed and learned a lot about the AIDS Quilt. Recommend this book , it’s a great read.

I had to listen to it twice

Not sure why, but it was difficult to focus, so I ended up listening to it a second time. I liked it, the narrator was good, but I probably won’t recommend it. Just not memorable.

Loved it.

I really loved this hopeful uplifting and informative story. Although there were times when I wanted to shake Nina I know that all things work together for good.
I appreciate that the book did not bash me over the head with references to God. I could see him working through out the book.
This is a series that I will look for again.

A Sweet Story

Not one I would listen to again, but a sweet story all the same. Not sure what the alternative would be, but I wasn’t that super excited with the ending. Overall a cute story though.
