Publisher's summary

The wedding vows are exchanged, then the nightmare begins…

It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life…

Alice Tandy has dreamed of her wedding since she was a little girl. The perfect venue, the perfect dress, the perfect groom. It’s all going exactly to plan.

But then her whole world comes tumbling down. Just as she and her new husband Ben are cutting their wedding cake, three policemen storm in and arrest Ben. Alice looks on in horror, unable to comprehend what is happening. Did they say murder?

The next day, Ben is released on bail, but for Alice, the nightmare is only just beginning. And as more details about the murder of Kerry Valentine emerge she starts to realise that everyone around her is keeping secrets. Can she trust anyone? And who really killed Kerry?

Great story

I was fully engaged with the story all the way through. And Imogene Church as the narrator never disappoints.

OH SO DRAMATIC narration

The story was inconsistent. It started OK then got better then got boring and then got better again near the end. But the narration completely took me out of the story. Way too dramatic with way too many pauses and annunciation of words that were just ridiculous. A lot of red herrings as far as who the bad guy was. It’s always a peripheral character that’s never too far developed and I pretty much figured out who it was about a third of the way through the book. I don’t mind listening to it, but I would never listen again and I do not recommend

Narration: 10. Story: 1. All characters? Horrible.

I returned after a few chapters. Literally every character in this book is completely horrible, has no redeeming qualities and needs to be shoved in a lake.

(Imogen, of course, is fire with he narration as usual, but she didn't have a lot to work with here.)
