No offense to the excellent portrayal of Mr. Henry Beemis by Tim Kazurinsky, but he is not Burgess Meredith. My mind's eye had difficulty picturing a Beemis who didn't look like Meredith. I found myself missing Meredith's vocal style and inflection. Additionally, this is another Zone that suffers slightly from the lack of the final visual. However, like every other offering in this radio series, the production values are excellent. If you can take this adaptation at face value, and appreciate it for what it is, you will certainly enjoy it.

Decent attempt which falls just short of perfect...

If you could sum up Time Enough at Last in three words, what would they be?

surprise, clever, and interesting

Who was your favorite character and why?

mr. beamis because he WAS the story. and a good one too!

Have you listened to any of Stacy Keach and Tim Kazurinsky ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no this is my first preformance. i have only read many audiobooks. it was a good choice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

yes moments. i was moved to pity for mr. beamis when no one would let him alone. he just wanted to read. not much to ask.

Any additional comments?

i have seen the episode on tv. it was great and the preformance was great, maybe better because they had to rely on audio only--no video. i think the actors put more into the preformance to get the story across.

great stroy!
