About this listen

Spicy NA fantasy romance for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Laura Thalassa, and Jennifer L. Armentrout.

A curse to break...

He’s a fae assassin with a heart of stone. She is the savior of Oz. Together they must defy a heartless curse. Tin is the most famous fae in Oz for all the wrong reasons. Cursed with a stone heart, he is the perfect assassin: ruthless, efficient, and merciless with thousands of kills to his name. When his old friend Lion offers him a small fortune to deliver Dorothy to the South for his lover to wear the girl’s head as her own, Tin doesn’t hesitate to accept the unsavory deal.

Dorothy Gale lost everything—her family to illness, her dog to age, and now her farm to foreclosure. The entire town thought she was crazy for believing in a faerie world called Oz, but even after 10 years have passed, she knows she is right. So when an emerald green portal opens in her wheat field, she jumps at the opportunity to return to the only place that ever felt like home.

Tin wasn’t expecting a vivacious grown woman to step through the portal, just as Dorothy wasn’t expecting Tin to have his stone heart back. But Oz has hidden dangerous lies behind glamour, trapped innocents in curses, and left the land in turmoil—none more so than the South. As Tin and Dorothy travel together for the second time in a decade, their lives begin to make sense again. Soon, they must decide who to give their loyalties to before Lion takes Dorothy’s head and Tin’s cursed heart is forever doomed.

Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Laura Thalassa, and Jennifer L. Armentrout. Tin is the first book in this dark fantasy romance series. If you love hot fae assassins and strong female leads, then you won't want to miss this one.

I've read this book before, but having it on audio book form is a great way to reread it whenever the mood strikes. I love this sexy adult reimagining of the Wizard of Oz and will be working my way through all the books in the series, both ebook and audio.

The sexy adult Oz I never knew I needed...

Oz works for the CIA. Isn't it obvious. Leopold chopped off hands. Langwidere removes heads. Oz has crossed over with Heart of Darkness. The ghastliness has reached that level. Glinda is assassinated, and Langwidere keeps her head as a souvenir. Tin and Lion have become mercenaries. It's not for the easily triggered. But for Wicked fans, this dark Oz story will be right up their alley.

I enjoyed this story. Years after Dorothy had killed the witch of the west, people thought she was crazy speaking of Fairykind and a place called Oz. After losing the family including Toto, she wished to return to that world. Suddenly she found a portal and was taken back. Things were not the same as she remembered. Her journey to find the truth was filled with lies, truth, love and evil. Twists and turns that keep you reading. So many great characters.

Loved it

Only thing I didnt like is the reader read parts so quickly that it almost sounded like the sentences ran onto each other. I had to stop and re-listen several times to get a good visual of the scene in my head. I'm still going to listen to the rest of the stories since I loved this one so much.

love the story!

Get ready to remeet the characters you thought you knew from Oz. Life went a different way for all of them. Especially Dorothy. When she returned home she was labeled the town crazy person. No one believed her. Life has been nothing but hard. And she is being pressured to enter a life she doesn't want. She ends up back in Oz and it's nowhere near how she left it. Someone she once considered a friend is out for her head! With the help of Tin aka the tinman lies and secrets are exposed and an epic adventure takes foot. And talk about an unlikely romance. I loved it! Every second of it!

Dorothy, this isn't Oz anymore

I actually liked the story. The bones of the story. I don’t know if this book/series is the authors first ever but it feels like it. It was scattered and fast written like there is no breath between chapters. Everything happened fast like it was a rush to get to the next point. And it was read like that. The performer is terrible. She reads so fast that sentences blend and you have no idea how you got to “walking down the road” to “oh she’s dead”. It left me confused. I bought the next 2 books before listening to the first so now I’m mad because I just can’t finish it. It gives me too much a headache which sucks because you can see the great story beneath the terrible writing and narration.
