I loved it! The narrator sucks you in with his voice making the characters in this beautiful story come to life!

I've thought about writing a book that is mostly letters/correspondence. Barbara Lieberman does just that in an almost romantic historical fiction. There's a plot twist at the end that I won't mention but know it's worth it to listen to the end. Conversations, setting and characters stay true to the estimated time period.

This short novella is very well read. The story starts off well and had it finished as well, it would have earned five stars. Sadly, it seems to take a strange turn along the way, at least for this reader. It is worthwhile giving it a chance though.

Mildly entertaining but a disappointing finale
