“This romance has it all—flirty banter, deep emotion, and a smart, sassy heroine.”—JENNIFER PROBST, New York Times bestselling author

She’s brilliant, beautiful…and tired of being the only Black woman in the room.

Two years ago, Kennedy Mitchell was plucked from the reception desk and placed in the corporate boardroom in the name of diversity. Rather than play along, she and her best friend founded Token, a boutique PR agency that helps “diversity-challenged” companies and celebrities. With corporate America diversifying workplaces and famous people getting into reputation-damaging controversies, Token is in high demand.

Kennedy quickly discovers there’s a lot of on-the-job learning and some messes are not so easily fixed. When Kennedy’s ex shows up needing help repairing his company’s reputation, things get even more complicated. She knows his character is being wrongly maligned, but she’s reluctant to get involved—professionally and emotionally. But soon, she finds herself drawn into a PR scandal of her own.

“A smart, sexy rom-com that had me chuckling from the first page. I loved it.”—BRENDA JACKSON, New York Times bestselling author

Token is a rom-com perfect for our times. I can’t wait to see it on the big screen!”—KAIA ALDERSON, author of Sisters in Arms

Great story - reasonated

The blurb didn't do this book justice - almost didn't get it!
Well worth the purchase; touched on real life everyday issues, from different perspectives - learnt a lot too.

The title misleading,The story disappointing

Let me start out by saying I have nothing against interracial relationship, you love who you love. If the story was strictly focused on the relationship between Kennedy (who is a black female)and Nate (who is a white male ) the book might have been passable. Desite Kennedy constantly fawning over Nate white male features, and Nate telling us how beautiful Kennedy is with her grey eyes.

The problem I had with this book is how Ms. Kendall treated black male characters in her story. Kennedy dated a few black males one even proposed marriage to her but according to her he was no where near as handsome and wealthy as Nate.

Kennedy was constantly telling us how none of the black males she dated measure up to the rich, blue eyes, blonde hair Nate. Hey we get it the Ms. Kendall is in to white males. But do us all a favor, next time you write a book focusing interracial relationship between a black female and a white male, keep our brothers out of it they get degarded enough they don't need help.from you. As a black women I would have expected better from you My Sister.
