About this listen

Jerome K. Jerome is known of course for his novels that tell of the hilarious adventures of "Three Men" particularly the one here they are "in a Boat"! The stories Told After Supper, related by the guests at a Christmas Eve party, are about ghosts and have all the wit and whimsy of J.K.J.'s more famous works.

Told in traditional style, these ghost stories are gentle, hilarious, and just fun.
For people just being introduced to this special genre, this is a good start: a laugh out loud collection!

A little gem!

Jerome was one of the few authors of his day to scoff openly at the Spiritualist Movement. This story is an excellent spoof on the ghost stories that were churned out by the thousand that are for the most part rightly forgotten since they were never worth the paper they wasted. Save the trees!

Jerome's style is a bit sarcastic and ironic as always. But I like it anyway.

Excellent anti-ghost story
