About this listen

WALT LONGMIRE AND HENRY STANDING BEAR ARE BACK, AND IN THE TRADITION OF WAIT FOR SIGNS AND THE HIGHWAYMAN, THIS ACTION-PACKED NOVELLA SET IN THE ALASKA TUNDRA PUSHES OUR HEROES TO THEIR LIMITS AS THEY FACE POWERFUL ENEMIES WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET WHAT THEY WANT

Tooth and Claw follows Walt and Henry up to Alaska as they look for work after they both return from serving in Vietnam. While working for an oil company in the bitter cold of winter, they soon encounter a ferocious polar bear that seems hell-bent on their destruction. But it’s not too long until they realize that the danger does not lurk outside in the frozen Alaskan tundra, but with their co-workers, who are after priceless treasure and will stop at nothing to get it.

Fans of Craig Johnson will thrill to this pulse-pounding and bone-chilling story of extreme adventure that adds another indelible chapter to the legend of Walt Longmire.

Suspenseful read

Loved the story and characters! Wish it could’ve been a longer story! George Guidell is a great narrator!

One of his best.

I have them all, some of them twice. His talents surpass his wonderful sense of location and culture.

Brrrrrrr! Loved it.

After our scorching summer this novella was a welcome relief. As always Johnson and Guidall did not disappoint. Walt and Henry equally as good with their wit balanced perfectly with the suspense. Please, please more flashback stories about these two characters.

Nice buddy story diversion

I very much enjoyed the pace and the imagery of this novella. It also tied a certain bow onto Walt and Henry’s friendship and showed the depths to which they would go for each other all throughout their lives. Great addition to the Longmire series.

Continue to enjoy the series. The ongoing story is fun. Glad the product placement ended many books in the past

Best longmire book yet

Love the isolation and the almost supernatural polar bear. The ghost ship and unusual local are great also

It’s Craig Johnson and George Guidall! What else is there to say. Walt and Henry are the best. I never want them to end.

The book was different in a way, but the constants are the characters. They are always the same in their honor and code of “real and good”.

Excellent Story!!

I just loved this story and how it came together. Great to have a story with Bear a major part of it. Miss him having a larger part in the previous book. A usual Narrator does a mighty fine job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
