Publisher's summary

He’s a good man having a bad day with the worst hangover.

All Bunny McGarry wants is a spot of breakfast and a decent cup of tea. So imagine how annoyed he gets when two masked men attempt to rob the New York diner he is in. Unfortunately, dealing with that problem just leads to a whole lot more. One of the diner’s other customers isn’t who she appears to be, and the odds aren’t great that she is going to live to see another breakfast.

So just how much trouble is she in?

Well, you know how they’re always telling us to pay attention to our pensions? Some ex-employees of the US government are really taking that advice to heart by using their mayhem-creating abilities to maximise their investments. When one of their fund managers has a momentary crisis of conscience and confesses all to a woman he hardly knows, they will stop at nothing to deal with the problem. Amy Daniels is in big trouble and the only thing keeping her alive is a man who is supposed to already be dead.

Disaster Inc., is the first book in a new series featuring Bunny McGarry, beloved by those who enjoyed the critically-acclaimed Dublin Trilogy of books. It melds high-octane action with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit.

Over the Top - Love it

As usual/ completely wild, over the top and thoroughly enjoyable. I’m getting used to the narrator’s Bunny voice but I love his voices for Smithy and Diller.

This is my 2nd ‘listen’ and enjoy it even more.

Not remotely believable but don’t care at all. Fun ride!

Bunny strikes again!

I enjoyed this book, narrator was great as usual. Don't know why some reviews hack on Morgan Jones, he's one man and can't get every voice and accent bang on!

So many twists

This book was very interesting and entertaining. It was almost as if the listener had a front row seat to a 3 Card Monte game. The performer did an excellent job. Well worth your time!

I am a huge fan!

This is my 7th Caimh McDonnell book and I can’t get enough of Bunny McGarry! Each one is better than the next. I’m already sad that I only have a few more to read. Please keep writing !

McDonnell keeps getting better.

The author lets his wit shine through even more than in the Dublin trilogy. Great plot, great characters. The grating cork accent of the main character takes some getting used to but it’s part of his identify and his charm.

This is a hard one to write

I have LOVED all the books in this “series” the Dublin Trilogy, MCM Investigations, and Bunny Early Years. However, this new off shoot, McGarry Stateside, just wasn’t the same. I think two main reasons it disappointed me, first it’s not in Ireland. I am not interested in stories with US settings and characters. The second [SPOILER] reason is that the only character from the previous stories is Bunny. I found there to be too many introductions to new characters, too much unnecessary descriptions of settings and situations. I think the story and writing for this book would make excellent film, just not as smooth for a book. That being said the new characters are interesting, the humor good, and Bunny true to himself. I may wait until the author takes the story back to Ireland.

Keep listening - you won't regret it!

It took me a while to get used to the Narrator doing Bunny's accent but I hung in there and really enjoyed an entertaining and light hearted book. I am downloading the next book now!

Unlikely but fun

Another good run for Bunny, the hung-over anti-hero who saves the day… again. It’s just so much fun that you overlook the way he stumbles into such major national and international plots like some sort of frumpy Irish James Bond. Anyway, thoroughly enjoyable for me.
