Great follow up

Great follow up story to part one. The performance was excellent! The story was not quite as good as the first book. It was a little harder to follow

Excellent follow-up to Toward the Brink book 1.

It’s hard to believe I first read the Toward the Brink series in 2016, in fact I read and reviewed Toward the Brink book 2 seven years ago. This week I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook for Toward the Brink book 2 narrated by Kyle Snyder and enjoyed every moment. Kyle does an excellent job brining each of characters to life as well as the overall story. I’m including my origanl review below.

Excellent follow-up to Toward the Brink. In this second book, Ethan and the other survivors leave Idaho to escape the Foamers. Once again McDonough has created a story that is packed with action as well as a good character study of the players in his dystopian America/world.

Without providing any spoilers I'll say this story has some highs where you begin to feel like these survivors are doing well and you want to celebrate with them only to be hit with some very deep lows that make you wonder if they are going to recover.

Lately zombie themed books have been my preferred genre when it comes to dystopian stories, and the Toward the Brink series ranks right up toward the top of my list of favorites.

On the end of my seat awaiting the next surprise

As always Craig spins a great story. As a lover of post apocalyptic fiction, I find Craig’s stories well written. He develops characters well. I loved reading this book and also found the audio version just as intriguing. The speaker did an excellent job in keeping my attention and highlighting the intensity when needed.
