About this listen

A host of unexpected events lead to the revelation of dark secrets between Tyree’s and Mia’s families. With murder, corruption, and duplicity standing in their way, can Tyree keep his family safe and rekindle a love he once thought was lost forever?

After the kidnapping of his son, Tyree Johnston’s marriage to Mia, the love of his life, fell apart. Now, two years later, Tyree has their son Kyan for the summer, and he is unprepared for Mia’s return to their hometown. Trying to move forward with his life, Tyree finds himself stuck between what his heart wants and what his head says is right.

Mia left for Paris the minute her divorce was final, but when her sister-in-law tells her that Kyan needs her, Mia is on the first flight out. Besides, it’s about time she faced Tyree so they can try to come together as co-parents for their son's well-being.

A love story with a gangsta twist.

This was a pretty good story with love, hate, gangster, and greed. The narration was excellent and the storyline had a good twist. I enjoyed it and recommend it. It left me in the end looking for an ahaaa moment that never happened. This was very predictable but still very good.

Very Good Listen

The story line was interesting the entire time. Initially I had a hard time keeping up with who was who but I caught on the more I listened. Plot twists were not very predictable and it was overall a good book.

What A Ride!!!

This story was soo much fun. "Fun" you say. Yes, Fun, because as we waited for the various "shoes to drop," taking the journey kept you on the edge of your seat. Yes there were moments when the story was quite predictable, however, it still was a hell of a ride. Hoping there will be more in the form of a sequel.

We all know the adage, boy gets girl, boy looses girl, boy gets girl. Its in practically every one of these books. What I enjoy is the journey weaved by the writer and how they tackle the inevitable. M.Skye does a great job with this story. Congrats. Keep on making art. Mr. Ellis Park - you keep on jamin.' Your voice is awesome.

Page Turnner

Great book and storyline, would be better if females narrative was done by a female. The man took away from all the female characters. Reason for the 3 stars.

Better Than I Expected

This was a good storyline....I enjoyed the twist and turns of the plot....I'm wondering if there will be a book 2....because truthfully we were able to get to the root of why one father John Johnston allowed greed to overtake him...but, we didn't receive any resolution about the other father Richmond Livingston and why his behavior was so sinister and how he was able to escape from federal custody.
