A well-written short read from a very good author

Treats, Threats, and Tawdry Truths (Melody Clue), My seventy-fourth short read/listen from prolific author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable, another cute, clean cozy mystery. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Great Read

Treats, Threats, and Tawdry Truths was a good read by Meredith Potts. Melody Clue never thought her life would be put in jeopardy the way it is even being a private investigator. She received a threatening letter in the mail, and then got a menacing phone call. A rock was then thrown at her door. Melody has to find out who is after her and why. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Earns 5/5 A.M. Muffins...Cozy Fun!

Meredith Potts has penned another well-written short mystery in an audiobook (1:32) format, for which she is very talented, and it is enriched by the voice talent of Stephanie Quinn. Melody Clue, private investigator, has had a strange week causing her to watch her back and look round corners. Threatening letter? Menacing phone call? Rock thrown at her house with another disturbing note? Even her boyfriend and police detective is concerned, but “clues” are not readily available. Who? Why? Then a break...a fingerprint! Kyle Farmington! But, bad news. He’s dead, and oddly officials say it’s suicide. Is that it? Of course not. Meredith’s story is clever and well-written primarily in narrative form, Melody is smart, skillful, and fun to follow, the supporting characters are realistic and blend well into Melody’s world, and the conclusion and epilogue are both satisfying. Stephanie Quinn does a nice job with the first-person narrative from Melody’s perspective portraying her emotions well. She also does an entertaining job with age and gender, which are tricky, making my experience, however short, enjoyable.

cute cozy mystery

This was a sweet short cozy murder mystery. Easy, fun listen. Party of a series, but can be a standalone easily enough.
