About this listen

A missing woman. A mysterious stranger. A case with no leads. A terrible blast from the past. And cookies. Lots of cookies.

Some cases hit close to the bone.

For amateur sleuth Sabrina Carlson, this is one of them.

In Sabrina's mind, missing-persons investigations are always the hardest. Mostly because they remind her of losing her sister years before.

If fighting off flashbacks of her sister's death isn't bad enough, this current case is one of the most difficult of Sabrina's career.

After all, Claire Blakely didn't just disappear without a trace. She also didn't have any enemies.

In addition, as far as Sabrina can tell, there are no leads to work with.

As the days go by, Sabrina begins to worry if she'll ever be able to find Claire.

Will Sabrina find a way to solve this case?

Kidnapping in Treasure Cove

Sabrina needs a get away when the investigation into the disappearance of a young woman bogs down and memories of her sister's murder are all to fresh. Little does she know that her get away may provide exactly the clue needed to solve the case in this cozy mystery featuring Meredith Potts' familiar investigative duo of Sabrina and David Carlson.
Potts always weaves an entertaining story, and this one kept me guessing through to the very end which is exactly what I want in a mystery.
An enjoyable afternoon's entertainment.

A sweet perfectly written cozy mystery

I loved this story so much, it’s the perfect story to listen to on a hot day. It sure made me long for a visit to the lakes. It was fun reading about an amateur sleuth who are also a mother, and follow the twists and turns of the mystery. I will add books from this author to my wishlist.
The narrator did an amazing job at bringing the story to life.

What an pleasant surprise

I listened to a copy of this book. I found the narrator/reader very enjoyable.

The story is not a typical cozy. By that I mean, it does not put down the police or law enforcement – there is a healthy respect for them. The sleuth does not intentionally put herself in danger.

I found it refreshing, well-written and there were plenty of red herrings to keep you wondering who might have abducted Claire.

Sabrina was trying hard not to get on an emotional roller coaster when she learned from Dave of Claire’s abduction.

I was amazed at how grown up and non-fluff this mystery was. I will read many more from this author.

Another good read!

abduction, law-enforcement, amateur-sleuth, suspense, cozy-mystery

Once again a young woman has vanished from Treasure Cove. The first time was over twenty years ago and it was Sabrina's sister, so Sabrina feels more stressed than most about the failure of of her detective husband's police officers to find the least scrap of a clue. When her mother's first husband shows up at her door seeking forgiveness for abandoning them all those years ago it is just too much. So she packs up a few things and her young daughter and heads off to the family lake cottage. But she just can't escape fate.
Brief, but a good read.
Lili Dubuque is a great narrator!

sweet, clean mystery

Sabrina Carlson is an amateur sleuth, who occasionally assists her police detective husband on cases. When a young woman disappears from the peaceful town of Treasure Cove, the case becomes personal...Sabrina's sister had been kidnapped and murdered when she was a teen. As Sabrina deals with life with a family, a possible stalker and working on this case, will the kidnapper begin to focus on her and her 5yo daughter?
Quick, clean mystery that will leave you saying 'I did not see that coming'.

A Great Clean Cozy Mystery

This Audible book is number 4in the series and is great as a stand alone. She has interesting and believable characters. Rachal Carr does a good job with narration. She maintains your interest till the end. This is a clean cozy mystery with no frank sex, gore or foul language. The characters are well developed for a cozy mystery. You csn do this book as a family, or recommend this to your teens, or play at a slumber party. Hope Hadley is an amateur sleuth, after her show was cancelled where she played a detective. She picked up skills in the show to help her sleuth. Her brother is a detective and she helps him on murder cases. They have to inter3 many to try and find the murderer of the pool man who was found dead in the bottom of the pool. This book has an alligator in a few scenes that are funny. This was a fun read, I recommend this book. There are lots of baked cookies in this book. I enjoyed this book you have to read to see who killed Walter her father, and what happens to Jessica.

Cookies with a Side of Danger

Once again Treasure Cove finds itself with another mystery to solve. This series is set a few years after the Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery series but has the same great characters. I really enjoy listening to this group and love seeing how someone’s intuition can be so important when working a case. I will definitely be continuing this series.
