About this listen

Legend has it, the man you kiss at a wedding is the man you’ll marry. In my case, it’s nothing but trouble.

Spencer Carrollton is a dark-haired, hazel-eyed beast.

When I collided with him at my cousin’s wedding, I wasn’t looking for love. But his naughty eyes flashed, his full lips curled into a knowing smile, and I should have run.

I didn’t. I kissed him instead.

Then he gave me a job when I needed it the most.

I never get involved with clients, but Spencer Carrollton is wickedly handsome in a bespoke suit. He’s devastatingly sexy out of it. He’s possessive, demanding, and the best sex I’ve ever had. He’s an arrogant billionaire who thinks I’ll fall at his feet, but I’m not going down that road again.

Until he pulls me out of danger and insists I move in with him to be safe.

As the nights pass and we grow closer, I know I’m losing this fight.

Spencer Carrollton always gets what he wants.

The trouble is, he wants me.

Trouble is a stand-alone enemies-to-lovers billionaire-boss romance. No cheating. No cliff-hanger.

The good kind of trouble

Trouble by Tia Louise is a standalone enemies-to-lovers billionaire, boss romance. The story is told in dual POV.

I loved the storyline and the characters, but for once, I loved the heroine more than the hero. Sly was independent, sassy, and she didn't let anyone push her around. She was such a good friend to Courtney and just a good, decent person.
Spencer's sad past made him build an ice castle around his heart. I felt sorry for how he had to grow up and rooted for him to make the needed realizations. His character went through massive growth during the story, and he was a different man at the end.
This couple was a great match, they had so much chemistry, and I lived for the push and pull between them. Their banter was hilarious and hot at the same time.
The chemistry of this couple translated itself to the steamy scenes. The steamy scenes were like an erupting volcano, there was a great build-up, and when they had sex, it was explosive.

The backstory added to the main story and gave it some suspense. I loved the side characters, especially little Oli and his frog.

I noticed that the cover doesn't reflect the sell-dressed alpha hero that Spencer is. I know this will sound stupid for some, but I think it is important that they have some similar features because it's the face on the cover that will be the hero in my mind.

Teddy Hamilton and Kirsten Leigh narrated this story in a duet style. Both narrators have beautiful, enjoyable voices, but it did take me some time to get used to Spencer's voice. In my opinion, the male voice didn't completely suit his character. I expected an intense rumble, a more gruff voice dripping with every emotion. While Teddy Hamilton's voice is enjoyable and he did a good job, in my opinion, this wasn't the right voice for this character.
Kirsten Leigh did a great job at bringing life to the sassy Sly. She has a pleasant, soft voice, and she brought life to her character.

I enjoyed listening to Trouble. It's an entertaining light with angst, emotions, humor, and steam.

Trouble

Trouble An Enemies-to-Lovers, Billionaire Boss Romance (Stand-Alone) intrigued me with its prologue. I needed to find out where the storyline would lead. A lovestory that is spicey with a sprinkle of sweetness to it. A bit of suspense tossled into the mix. Characters are well developed and supported characters are a great mix.

Teddy Hamilton, Kirsten Leigh dual narration performance delivers. Brought the characters and their story to reality. Teddy's inflection is perfectly balanced between characters and passionate voice. Kirsten brought out the emotional side of the characters and her inflection showed off her passionate portray.

I loved it!

Oh! I loved this one. The characters are great, and the storyline has a little suspense, and a great pace. I loved to follow Jocelyn and Spencer in their journey to love. Spencer, a handsome billionaire, is protective and supportive. Jocelyn is feisty, strong, and independent. They are opposites attract, and they are perfect together. Kirsten Leigh and Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed it! I have never listened to a book written by Tia Louise that I haven't loved. She never disappoints.

Love this story!

I love , love, love this audiobook!!!
Tia Louise is back again with this magnificent story that is captivating and swoon filled, I can't recommend this story enough. Spencer and Jocelyn were imperfectly perfect for each other. The chemistry and attraction was simply magnificent. Jocelyn was able to put Spencer on the line and break his walls and troubles he had while growing up. From his cold and unapologetic behaviour Spencer was the kind of guy that didn't want love. His life was plan but everything change when he met fierce and attractive red hair beauty who spark a flame on him that he tried to shut down. The banter from this two was glorious. Their push and pull relationship was so entertaining to read. I love Sly from the very beginning of this story. She was smart and super talented. Her character and loyalty was just amazing. Sly and Spencer were the best kind of trouble and this story is definitely a must read

All the heart and sizzle I love!!!!

Audio book: Narrators - Kirsten Leigh and Teddy Hamilton

It just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to narration! They both brought all the emotion, the humor, and the sizzle to life from the very beginning. Such a great example of excellence in audio.

This hero was alpha overload in the most delicious ways! I absolutely LOVED Spencer and all his set in stone, never going to change traits. He truly was trouble from the very beginning. What I wasn’t expecting was that Joselyn would be just as much, if not more, trouble for him!

Joselyn was a fiery redheaded bombshell that snagged Spencer’s attention from the very beginning. She kept him on his toes and even while she struggled with her own hurts and desires, she unknowingly strung him along. I loved her fierce loyalty to her friend and the crazy conversations with her friend’s son, Ollie. She was the best kind of friend and real sweetheart as well.

Spencer was stalwart in his decision to stay unobligated to any woman. His past had left him with the need to follow a life that was not well rounded, and yet it was the norm for him. My heart bled for him and his past pain as well as the emotional burden Spencer unknowingly carried because of it. But holy heck, after a few interactions with Joselyn, he changed gears directly into jealous and overprotective mode even as he refused to admit he wanted more from her.

This was one hot, yummy read with a storyline that kept me engaged from the very beginning. Once I started, I could not stop. And once I reached the end, I loved it so much I wanted to immediately go back and experience it all over again!

Enjoyable story with great narration!

Trouble from Tia Louise is an enjoyable enemies to lovers story! Spencer and Joselyn were a lot of fun to read about - they had a great connection and I enjoyed their story and watching them get their HEA. The story had quite a bit of humor, heat, and hotness that will keep you hooked until the very end. I listened to this one on audio and thought that Teddy Hamilton and Kirsten Leigh did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Definitely recommend this one!

Wonderful book!

This book was so much more than I expected, and I love when that happens! Spencer is a troubled, dare I say emotionally damaged, successful antiques dealer. When he meets Joselyn, he’s struck dumb by her sass and kindness. Their emotional journey is full of ups and downs, murder and mayhem, good friends, and family.
Amazing narration by Teddy Hamilton and Kirsten Leigh!

Great read!

Trouble was my first book by Tia Louise. Spencer and Joselyn’s story kept my attention through their whole story. I enjoyed Spencer’s intense, alpha personality and Joselyn’s strong and soft personality. Watching Spencer struggle to accept his connection with Sin left me hurting and swooning. Their chemistry was all consuming and I loved seeing them get their happily ever after. I think the narrators did a job well done!

I loved this frenemies to lovers romance!

I loved this frenemies to lovers romance! Sly and Spencer’s story captivated my heart right from the start and never let go. Spencer was raised with no love, leaving him to believe he was cold-hearted, and incapable of a normal life or forming close relationships. He is mercurial, and needs control in all things. When the fiery, sassy Sly, drops into his life, they have instant chemistry that is off the charts. Spencer is amazed how fierce Sly is, and unafraid of his darkness. Sly is smart, creative and fiercely loyal. She presents a challenge for him as she melts his icy walls while not giving in to him easily. They saw only trouble in getting involved but couldn't deny the connection they felt. Sly's willing to fight for Spencer, helping him to feel safe, but it is the unexpected place that allows him to show his vulnerability, and let down his carefully guarded control. I loved Sly and Spencer together, and I was completely invested, caring deeply for them as I cheered for their HEA.
Teddy Hamilton, and Kirsten Leigh were brilliant as Spencer and Sly, delivering a performance that was completely addictive. They portray each character, including the young kids, Ollie and Melody, with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartbreaking emotion, and sizzling passion flawlessly. They work well together, conveying so much emotion in their performances.
This moving and heartfelt story was a roller coaster ride with witty banter, push/pull emotions, and hot steamy passion, which is everything I crave to read, and I loved every moment!
