I assumed I would learn a lot

I assumed I would learn a lot of unseemly things about Trump, but also assumed I would learn of some admirable qualities as well. Unfortunately, there was almost nothing in the book that reflected well on Trump. I do not feel that is reflective of bias on the part of the author. I desperately hoped to find some reason to put some faith and trust in Trump, but sadly came a way from the book with a more complete loathing of the man. The objective details of many of Trump's business dealings and projects lead to a conclusion the man has no moral compass at all.

Man! What a Leader!

Loved the insight I got and I love Trump's ability to lead. We so need that right now.

A sad little boy

How sad to listen that he has no friends, no one to talk things over with other than his offspring, who he had little to do with when they were growing up. His so-called lovers said he would rather go upstairs with a bag of candy and watch TV rather than have intimate time. His own father had nothing to do with him until the younger Trump was old enough to go out and collect rents with his dad. Maybe this insane desire to make money by any nefarious means is that little boy still trying to be noticed. The whole thing is very sad.

Brilliant

A must-listen for whoever wants to raise above the partisan pigfights and torrent of superficial soundbites this campaign had forced-fed us, in order to really understand objectively Trump, with his strengths & weaknesses.

This book represents some of the best

This book represents some of the best biography I've listen on Trump, a man who defies convention in striking negative terms. The writers expose a man who is deeply selfish and who has worked all of his life to further his interest, often at the peril of others. His willful lack of empathy runs deep throughout his life. The book is larger than the pout is we've come used to on the nightly newscast shows as it peers under the patina of social media's shallow view of the world. This is what books do best.

I liked that

I found the book fascinating. I liked that the main focus was on the man and what he did. It wasn't muckraking, but delivered the facts whether they were positive or negative for Trump. People were allowed to take from this book what they wanted; nothing was shoved down their throats. Stories from his youth were interesting; his rebellion against his family when a teenager was refreshing to listen.

Terrifying

Any voter serious about he future of our country should listen this very well written book. The story behind the glitz and corruption- the temper tantrums and refusal to take advice - is insight into Donald J Trump. The life of the megalomaniac is reported in clear and chilling prose. For those of us who have questioned his sanity, this book exposes the man child who must have his way or else.

A book for both sides of Trump

I really enjoyed this book and learned a lot about Trump and his family. I didn't learn very much about his wives. I really can't hold that against the authors since they had a small window to write the book after Trump became a presidential candidate. I think people who were for Trump and those who were against Trump will both find fault with the book. I thought the authors did a good job of describing his faults as well as his strengths.

It is a quick listen and flows nicely. The chapters are nicely space for breaks.

no box outside of which to think ...

the book is short. its direct. it deals with donald trump, major influences in his life, and how he processes vs how he thinks.
its a positve/more objective presentation rather than 1 of hate.
the author, a businessman, reveals trumps world from the standpoint of trumps mind in business.

trump is brilliant, non conventional, focused, and where he wants to be. trump isnt average, to be pidgeonholed: people are left guessing--not because thats a goal, but because doing prioritizes explaining.

the author cites multiple examples of how trump processes, focuses, uses his own business/psychological models and personal experiences that he has mastered. he is brilliant, kind, inventive, honest in his world. he is remarkable.

it was a fun, ingenuous, interesting volume. whadda guy...
