About this listen

If I'm going to tell the story of a life, my life, then I need to tell it warts and all. If the tale is too saccharine sweet then what can the reader take away from it? What do they learn about you? I've written everything down. The shit, the death, fun, naughtiness, addiction, laughter, laughter, laughter, some tears and lots of love and happiness. That ,to me, is a better reflection of a human's life.

Nick's family life was difficult, blighted by alcoholism, illness and sudden misfortune, meaning they lost everything overnight. He left school early and drifted from job to job, dogged by his own personal demons. It's something of a miracle that Nick survived and even more that he would achieve such success with his writing, acting and comedy.

In Truths, Half Truths and Little White Lies, Nick paints a brilliantly funny, moving and brutally candid portrait of childhood, adolescence and eventual success.

Don't judge him, he's from Essex. If I were to judge him, I would say, he himself is indeed fried gold. I only wish the book was longer. Thank you Mr Frost.

Many of you may know him from his many films and television credits. This story isn’t about that, well kind of it is. It’s the journey of how he found himself, lost himself, loved, lost love, good times, bad times. It’s the story of him and it was an amazing one 5/5.

Beautiful

This was a FANTASTIC book and I loved every single second of it! It kept me laughing, and teetered on emotions as you follow the story from cover to cover...By the ending you'll have such a close feeling relationship with the author/narrator that the ending will bring a tear to your eye. I can't wait for the next one!!

Really enjoyed listening, laugh out loud funny at times. Loved that Nick read like it he was telling a story and not reading a book

Great laugh

I enjoyed listening to Nick Frost talk about his life and the obstacles that he faced growing up. What I found annoying was his silly beliefs in karma and the supernatural. It's odd how some atheists out there are rational enough to stop believing in a deity, but still believe in other nonsense. Despite the hyperboles and made-up ghost stories, it's still a fun listen. I hope some day in the future he'll write a part two of his memoir that dives deeper into his career as an actor.

Nick Frost shares the ups and downs of his life, with some silly stories along the way.
