Putney's contemporary novels: Adults with baggage

Many intelligent, successful adults have some, or a lot of, emotional baggage. Growth and maturity means finding successful ways to cope with old hurts and disappointments. Putney doesn't write Pollyanna kind of stories, but of real ways that smart people learn to rise above troubles in their past.

Couldn't Listen

What disappointed you about Twist of Fate?

I can't really judge the story because I could not listen to the narrator. He was awful. He sounded 108 and I could hear him do this strange licking/clicking sound. I really tried to ignore it, but I just couldn't. I urge anyone thinking of buy the book to listen to the sample.
