About this listen
What would have happened if Mr Darcy had been given no chance to use his ‘tolerable but not handsome enough to tempt me’ remark?
Two Peas in a Pod explores how the events of Jane Austen’s beloved novel would have developed if Darcy and Elizabeth had a better first encounter at the Meryton assembly and danced together despite any pride or prejudice on either side.
In this variation of Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth and Jane are identical twin sisters who are both beautiful and intelligent but have very different personalities. While Jane is sweet, forgiving, and gentle, Elizabeth is sharp-tongued and quick-witted, with an acute spirit of justice.
Jane, the epitome of grace and kindness, catches the eye of the amiable Mr Bingley, while Elizabeth’s intelligence and spirited nature captivate the proud Mr Darcy.
Instead of their mutual dislike, the gentleman is drawn to the most beautiful creature at the ball at first sight, and Elizabeth finds herself increasingly fascinated by Mr Darcy.
But the absence of a disdainful remark is not enough for a perfect outcome. Unexpected twists of fate lead to misunderstandings and heartbreak. And difficulties arise to test our dear couple and help them discover their true feelings.
The twins’ resilience and unwavering sisterly bond gives them the strength to confront the challenges that lie ahead.
Two Peas in a Pod is a spellbinding reimagining of Jane Austen’s timeless classic, with a happily ever after conclusion.
Prepare for a lovely tale — sweet, low angst, amusing, witty, and romantic — that will leave your heart racing and your imagination soaring.

Story
What's the worst that can happen when a Regency lady commits a Propriety Violation? Might she suffer acute embarrassment, a tarnished reputation, a forced marriage, shunning of her family, or something even more dire? These consequences might be devastating, but could we countenance a more nefarious possibility?Elizabeth Bennet is enjoying a peaceful morning stroll in Ramsgate when the pleasant sound of the waves is interrupted by a scream. She impulsively reacts and finds her life altered forever. Caution: This story contains brief, non-graphic descriptions of violence, death, and war.

What she learned disappointed and annoyed her, resulting in a young woman who held herself, and those around her, to a high standard. Story
After visiting her friend Charlotte Collins, Elizabeth leaves Kent carrying the distressing recollection of Mr Darcy’s marriage proposal. The letter he gave her after her harsh refusal has changed her opinion of the man and taught her how wrong she was in judging both Mr Darcy and Mr Wickham. On her way back to Longbourn, Elizabeth spends a few days in London, reunited with Jane and the Gardiners. A twist of fate brings her to a pawnbroker’s window, where she recognises a few objects related to Miss Darcy, reminding her of Mr Wickham’s betrayal and deceptions. Despite the conflict ...

Story
Author’s Note: This book features NO significant changes! The story has been re-published with a new cover and minor changes, but it brings nothing new to the readers who have already purchased or read it! Elizabeth d’Arcy is one of my boldest twists—in terms of plot, that is 😊. Napoleon’s spies, outlaws, dangers, and love above all—this story has it all. When Darcy is assaulted in his own home, nearly everyone assumes it is the handiwork of a common thief searching for valuable items—everyone except his aunt Lady Antoinette Darcy. With the sole missing item being the family ...

What if Mr. Darcy’s father took the time to teach his son what was right and to correct his temper? This story begins earlier when Fitzwilliam Darcy is 23 years old and he meets Elizabeth Bennet as a young woman, who is visiting the Gardiners in London. The elder Mr. Darcy is alive and several anti-heroes are thwarted early due to his interventions. Non-canon, K+ for minor violence
