Publisher's summary

Surrogate needed. One hundred thousand dollars compensation.

I always thought that when I got pregnant, I’d be happily bonded and ready to start a family.

But my mate left two years ago. Unfortunately, the bond that ties us didn’t. I need to have it surgically removed if I want to stop aching for a man who will never return. The cost of the surgery is $50,000. Being a surrogate would cover that.

The only problem is, it’s difficult for an omega to become pregnant if they’re bonded to someone else. I’ll have to take a high dose of Doxum. The side effects are terrible. Most omegas have heat-like symptoms and a desperate need for affection.

To make matters worse, the alpha who placed the ad is my type in every way. He’s older, nerdy, and incredibly kind. I worry that I’ll beg him to care for me, even though that isn’t how situations like this work. Or even worse, I’ll let myself develop feelings for him.

The last thing I need is to ache for another man who doesn’t want me.

Unbonded for You is a hurt/comfort romance with MPreg, knotting, and romantic trips to the bookstore. It’s the fifth book in the Nerds Who Knot series, but it stands alone.

Enjoying this series

I have not read all of the books in this series, but it can be read as a standalone. Thomas is a bonded omega who we find out was actually bonded to a pedophile, don't worry he only pops up for a very brief moment. Both the absence of his bonded Alpha makes it difficult for him. In addition, he can't stand the feel of another touching him, so he is touch starved. He wants to get the unbonding procedure done, but it is very expensive, so he answers an ad about being a surrogate. Sebastian is a very sweet Alpha who's Omega unbonded from him because he couldn't stand how "clingy" Sebastian is. Both of our MC's our gun shy because neither feels that they are ever going to find someone that will love them, for them. Thomas starts taking a potentially toxic drug Doxum, so that he can stand Sebastian touching him. When they realize that they do care for each other & want each other. Though Sebastian thinks its all the drug. So he decides to stop taking the drug & see where things lead. Sebastian is also having issues with his father who keeps threatening to fire Sebastian if he doesn't fall in line. I loved seeing him stand up to him and become his own man. What I would have liked is spending a little bit of time during the year time jump. We go from Thomas agreeing to getting the procedure done to him being 5 mths pregnant. I would have liked that initial connection. We do get to see Thomas reconnecting with his fathers. Then we jump 3 mths and we have a baby, though we do get some of the labor, & then the book is done. That was my only real issues with the book & would have given us a couple of more chapters.

Unique listen

I live the unique take on alpha and omegas. The stigma attached to the bond bite is interesting and I enjoyed how that all worked. Rosie and Kenard were awesome side characters!

Truly Amazing

I love Nerds who knot and this was a perfect addition to the series. Sebastian and Thomas are perfect for each other and after a slow interesting start they come together beautifully. This was a all in can’t stop listening and loving story. The narration was perfectly executed. I was enchanted with this couple. Great listen.

Great narration of a good story

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, but since it’s a standalone I was excited to review it. I am absolutely obsessed with some of Amy Bellow’s other books (go read the Burrowing Hearts series right now!!) This book had the typical Amy Bellows style, short chapters, quick attraction between MCs, and achingly sweet romance.

I loved that both characters had reasons to be self-conscious, and they were able to help each other though it, easing past hurt and creating a new, happier life together.

The book deals with some heavy subjects such as grooming and sexual assault of a minor, but in a way that was readable and provided a lesson on healing from past trauma.

I also really enjoyed all the board game references! I’m going to have to look up some of those games for myself.

I really enjoyed the book and would recommend!

Book nerds and game geeks unite!

What happens when a book nerd meets a game geek? Sparks fly.
Sebastian is an alpha who thinks an omega would only be interested in him for his money.
Thomas an omega needing his bond to a absent felon of a mate cut out.
Two unlikely men come together with the intention of creating a child via surrogacy, they find more in common than they could ever imagine.
Fantastic world building and character development will have you cheering for their HEA.
This is a sweet romance between two men who had given up on finding love. A second chance at finding the perfect mate not just someone who used them.

Ms. Bellows always brings the heat and provides many memorable sexy scenes. Definitely put this one on your TBR list!

The audible version has amazing narration that brings these characters to life!

So sweet

I’ve loved this series so much! This is a great continuation of the series. I loved how sweet it was. The romance between Sebastian and Thomas made me grin so many times. Though I wanted to smack Thomas’ ex so many times. And Sebastian’s ex isn’t much better either. Both those men had some serious trauma from their past relationships. I wanted to hug them so many times. It was beautiful seeing them open up to each other and heal through the story. I couldn’t get enough of it and wanted so many things for them. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the emotions to life in these characters.

True Love

Wow this one is another wonderful story in the Nerds Who Knot series. I love both the MC. The both of so much that they have dealt with and in some ways are two sides of the same coin. I love the fact that Thomas makes decisions for himself. Sebastian also has some tough choices. I love the way their life ends up working out so well for them. I listened to the audio and enjoyed it very much.

Very sweet story about finding love again

Both Sebastian and Thomas have closed themselves off from relationship for different reasons. Thomas is still under has a bond from his ex (one horrible person) and is looking to for ways to get money to remove it. Sebastian thinks he isn't good enough for a mate due to insecurities ingrained in him by his ex. This may be on the shorter side, but it's no less powerful for it. This story is packed full of emotions and I love how these two slowly build their relationship with trust. This is a great series and these two definitely deserve to be a part of it. We get to see them open up and heal from the past while forging a beautiful future together. Lance does an amazing job and I love how he brought these characters to life. The best thing about Amy's stories is that all the characters feel real, even the side ones. While this one is a stand alone, I highly recommend you check out the others in this series as well. There's lots of heat mixed with feelings and emotions!

Bad*** Omega and sweet-as-pie Alpha!

Narration: Lance West’s voice really fit this story well and brought the story to life. I enjoyed the heck out of this narration! I’d definitely listen again.

Story; Yay! Another Nerds Who Knot book! This is the series that introduced me to Amy’s writing and I’ve been hooked ever since. Amy completely redefined the ABO genre for me and I still stand by that!

Unbonded for You is a sweet story that starts with alpha Sebastian paying omega Thomas to be his surrogate. Sebastian wants a kid. Thomas needs money. A perfect business relationship, right? Except that the two find that they have a lot in common - including awful past relationships - and they can’t help by start to feel more for each other.

I loved this book! It’s classic Amy with an obstacle that seems impossible to overcome, two men who find themselves madly in love, some really important life lessons, and ALL of the feels. Sebastian and Thomas are really lovely from the start and I was totally rooting for them the whole time. I liked that the obstacle to the relationship in this book didn’t get too dramatic or ever feel like it was going to drag on. In fact, the pacing was just right and kept me engaged the whole time. I loved each guy’s journey to finding their truth and being with each other so much. I also loved how Thomas stayed true to himself and stuck to his guns. He is not your typical omega at all, which is one of my favorite things about Amy’s writing.

By the way. I’m obsessed with Thomas’ game shop! I shared descriptions of it with my partner who said, “Why doesn’t that exist in real life?!?” (Maybe it does, but not for us and we’re jealous!) I especially loved some of the side characters that are introduced through his store and what they added to the story and to Thomas’ character in particular.

I can’t recommend this book enough. This book does stand alone from the rest of the series. If you want to read more, I will say - this book released in 2023 and the first released in 2019. There has been a LOT of growth in Amy’s writing, so there will be a noticeable difference in that regard, but that first book has all the things that I still love about Amy’s writing to this day.

Thanks for the wonderful series, Amy! :)
