Better than the first book

The first book was good, this one was better. Faster moving and makes the next one a mist.

Well done!

Awesome job tying both books together. Things you thought were meaningless filler ended up having purpose later in book 2. Makes me think Pine had them both written before having them published. Also loved how he was able to put himself into the mindset of the dog so well - reminiscent of Jack London!

Haven't finished #2, but it's already awesome!

The romance is great but not out of control. The action, the same. The plot is incredible, but not hard to follow. What's not to love?

Predictable but entertaining!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Mmm, several other grid down survival series I would recommend before this one.

Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Kevin's performances are always an A+, no one better!

Any additional comments?

I've listened to almost all of these type series that are available in audio. This book was probably the most predictable one I've listened to. It was way to easy to figure out very early that Ryan was Holly & Cole's son, as well as just events along the journey. But the most aggravating aspect is the amount of time spent on humanizing Buster the dog. OMG, I thought I was going to have to fast forward in some places when the author just went overboard on personalizing the thought process of the dang dog! While overall entertaining, not one of my favorites. Mainly listened because of Kevin.

An incredible survival story

Where the first book left you with more of a cliff-hanger, Uncertain World will leave you feeling more fulfilled. There will be at least one more EMP Survivor Series book, but if you wanted to quit now you could and you wouldn't feel like you were missing something.

Uncertain World takes place directly after Unexplained World, continuing the story of Dillon and his unrelenting attempts at finding his daughter and staying alive in this ever-changing world.

This story was just slightly better than the first one because I knew the characters and I felt like their stories were going to come to a conclusion (which is always exciting for me). The storytelling in Unexplained was good, but in Uncertain World it was almost perfect. Each line felt like it had a purpose.

The parts in this story that really hit home for me were the ones from the point of view of the dog. Good lord, I'm a dog person and some of them were overwhelmingly cute and others were so hard to take. Just an absolutely epic job by Pike.

Overall, Uncertain World will leave readers from the first story happy, while others who want to continue the story will still have the option for more... In early 2017.

I received this book for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Great story, chapters 9 to 18 technical probs

Very good story. Narrator improving with experience, his different voices superior. I have tried listening to this recording on 3 different computers in 2 different parts of town; each time chapters 9 to 18 cut out with some chapters not playing at all. I returned this book once, but bought it again and put up with losing about 1/2 of the story. Come on guys, fix this.

Very much enjoyed the parts that played.

I'm really liking the style of this author. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to firearms and with warfare.

Another book made even better by my favorite Narrator!

Great story! It was a little unbelievable that the world would be that small, but it's fiction, what do you do? Kevin Pierce did a fabulous job narrating, as always!

Great book

The action continues in this second book in the series. We follow the characters on their quests and see how they all entwine. I got sucked into the story pretty quickly. Although things happen that aren’t very realistic, I realize this is a fictional story, so I was able to put that aside and enjoy it.

Kevin Pierce gives another great performance. I love listening to him narrate, and feel he does an excellent job keeping my attention.
