About this listen

The only man she wants is the one who'll never forgive her

Falling in love with her boss's handsome millionaire neighbor was easy for young Emma Copeland. Despite the vast differences between them, and a past that's left Connor Sinclair reclusive and wary, Emma gambles her heart on a desire that rocks them both. But there's something Connor doesn't know: Emma is responsible for an accident that changed his life forever.

Connor lives by rules intended to protect both him and his vast wealth. Emma's innocence is the only thing that's ever broken through his cold reserve, but now his trust is shattered. By the time he realizes how much he stands to lose, it might take a miracle to win her back. But it's a challenge he'll gladly face for the woman and the family he needs more than his next breath...

Another wonderful book!

I am pleased to have picked up one of Diana's books one and I ended up reading them all.
The books are written from her heart & her
Brain. So much emotion in every book! I like the historical facts weaved in to most of them.
Thank you for once again not wasting my time.
Outstanding!

Different

I enjoyed the storyline it was different, I didn’t understand the long, tall Texan portion of it. Tell a little later in the story. The narrator did a wonderful job.

Did Not Like

This is the first book by this author that I did not like. I have listened to or read almost all of her books and I love the characters of Jacobsville and Comanche Wells but this one was not to my liking at all. Perhaps it just started off wrong for me and never got better. I disliked Conner and thought the heroine was too weak for such a strong man. Her strength never really came out and I am used to the author producing characters that complement each other.

Their love story

I loved every minute of the book. I was rooting for Emma the entire time. When Connor lost his sight I was wondering if he would understand people more. In the end he did.

The Narrator's Voice too Gruff

I thought this story was only alright. It wasn't over the top exciting for me. The narrator's voice was too deep and gruff. It took away from the characters in the story and kept me from fully engaging! I think his voice would be great for a crime drama or mystery but not for romance. I think a female narrator would have helped the story be more intriguing. I might try a different story by this author but not with this narrator.
