Publisher's summary

Ordshaw’s not like other cities. But don’t tell them you know that.

Pax is one rent cheque and six days away from the rough streets of Ordshaw. A big poker score should’ve settled that - if a vagrant hadn’t mugged her and been promptly abducted by spooks.

She’s got connections with the Ordshaw underworld who know how to track people down. But all Pax finds is otherworldly technology and a book of fiercely imagined monsters.

Still, her involvement puts her in the crosshairs of both a shady government Ministry and the thief’s mysterious partners, so she’s got that going for her. Between keeping herself alive and trying to unravel rumours of a subterranean labyrinth, Pax discovers her city hosts a whole other kind of underworld.

People have disappeared simply for discovering what’s lurking under Ordshaw.

To survive, Pax needs to go a lot further than that.

Under Ordshaw is the first entry in a richly imagined urban fantasy series packed with twists and turns, heart-pounding adventure and mercenary fairies that you’ll find impossible to resist. With narration from award-winning actress Fran Burgoyne, once you take your first step into Ordshaw you won’t want to leave!

What reviewers are saying about the Ordshaw series:

"A unique urban fantasy that stands out for its well-rounded characters and disturbing settings…plenty of thrills and mystery to keep the pages turning" (Fantasy Book Critic)

"A gleaming example of what the Urban Fantasy subgenre has to offer" (Whispers and Wonder)

"I was hooked from start to finish." (Lynn's Books)

Amazing

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

This book was right up my alley. I am in love with supernatural, anything to go with Fae, Vampire, Werewolves etc etc. This book hit every single one of my buttons as a fantasy lover.

The MC was completely enjoyable and the side characters add a lot of spice to the book. The narrator was fantastic and the story was great. I loved every second of this book.

I enjoyed it

When I started this I wasn't sure what I would think of it but I was pretty surprised as once I got into it it was very enjoyable.

Pax is pretty broke and then her money is stolen she must get it back. When she goes after the person who stole it she gets more than she bargains for when she finds out there is a whole lot more out there than she thought. Like fairies with attitude and scare creatures!

I really enjoyed the characters in this story! Pax was a pretty cool character but I really liked the fairy Letty who was a bit foul-mouthed and temperamental. :)

Interesting take on the fae mythos.

Interesting story, good voice acting

The strong is very well plot out. It has multiple POV and the narrator does a good job in separating them.
Plot twists and unexpected happenings keeps you on you toes!

Everything I could have hoped for!!

I loved, everything about this onh. Phil Williams, you just got yourself a new fan. Note: I was given a freecopy ofthis audiobook in exchange for an honest review. And, honestly, this book was the best fantasy ride I've had in along long time, possibly, ever. It had a smidge of Tad Williams, War of The Flowers thrown in, with a dash of fae, magic, and dar monsters that seriously kept me riveted all the way through. And, I'm now a fan of Fran Burgoin, Fran, you are the female epitome of Jim Dale. You are for Ordshaw and Phil Williams as Jim Dale is to Rowling and Harry Potter. You guys make a great team for writing and narrating and without your touch, Ordshaw wouldn't be the Sunken City it is in this story. Great job guys. I'm biting at the bit here to start The Blue Angel, so I'm off. But, folks, if you want a great1awesome good read1and you're a fan of urban fantasy on the epic level, dive deep into this, you won't regret it. Thanks for a great story Phil, and equally as great narration Fran, this was great!! Happy reading guys. Take care.

Monsters Really Do Exist!

Pax, a feisty poker player hoping to win big in an upcoming tournament, is out on the town feeling very confident and then just about everything goes wrong. She gets mugged, loses all her money and is abducted by a government agent. Just another night on the streets of Ordshaw but it is not just what happens on the streets of Ordshaw that Pax needs to worry about because she is about to get introduced to a whole different world of trouble under the streets of Ordshaw. When Pax makes a snap decision to save a fairy named Letty, in a very unorthodox manner, she soon finds out that saving the little winged bundle of attitude just might bring more trouble than she is worth. This book will keep you glued to your headphones waiting to hear what happens next.

Phil Williams introduces us to some very interesting characters which are brought to life by the excellent narration of Fran Burgoyne. “Under Ordshaw” is the first book in Sunken City trilogy, the second book “Blue Angel” is also out in audiobook, I hope that book three “The Violent Fae” follows soon in audiobook format (hint, hint, hint).
