Publisher's summary

Finding undiscovered treasures is always daring, dangerous, and deadly. Unidentified contains two action-packed novellas starring sexy archaeologists, feisty treasure hunters, and tough former Navy SEALs on the hunt for two priceless Incan emeralds.

The Emerald Tear: Ambitious Archaeologist Oliver Ward leads a dig in the wild jungles of Ecuador and collides with feisty, independent treasure hunter Persephone.

Oliver Ward loves getting his boots dirty on fascinating digs, and investigating strange ruins in Ecuador is no exception. When bandits threaten his team, a small, tough treasure hunter bursts into his world to save the day. He finds himself captivated by the bright, vibrant woman and sucked into a wild and dangerous treasure hunt for a lost Incan emerald.

Daughter of a con artist, Persephone Blake trusts no one and has a plan - find and sell artifacts until she can retire on a white-sand beach. But her plans are derailed when a handsome, smart, and stubborn archaeologist pushes his way onto her hunt. She finds herself irresistibly tempted by Oliver, and as they trek deeper into the jungle, danger follows. And Persephone isn't sure what is in more danger - her body or her heart.

The Emerald Butterfly: Former Navy SEAL Diego Torres finds himself helping the one woman who drives him crazy - the DEA agent who boarded his ship and handcuffed him.

Injured and tortured on a mission, Diego Torres was ready to leave the SEALs and loves being captain of his salvage ship, the Storm Nymph. As he begins his vacation, he planned for solitude, late mornings, and drinking beers while watching the Florida sunsets, what he didn't plan for was the gorgeous DEA agent who boarded his ship several months before. And he really didn't plan for an underwater expedition in search of a shipwreck and a priceless Incan emerald.

Sloan McBride's grandfather dreamed of finding the Emerald Butterfly his entire life. Now he's dying and she vows to find it for him...even if she has to work with the hard-bodied ex-SEAL she got off to a very wrong start with. But as Sloan and Diego work side by side, dogged by dangerous black-market thieves Silk Road, they uncover a scorching hot passion. They will do anything to protect each other, including calling in their friends from treasure hunter security, and they'll risk everything to beat Silk Road to the emerald.

Great as always

Anna Hackett never disappoints and these two novellas really round out & enrich the THS world before finishing it up in the next book. Oliver & Persephone are Callum, Declan & Darcy’s parents and their backstory is The Emerald Tear. Diego was the boat captain from Morgan & Zach’s book. Sloan is Darcy’s DEA agent friend. Their story is the Emerald Butterfly. I feel like several of her series are wrapping up. She better start some new ones. I need Anna Hackett books to keep coming.

I lived both these stories. Hearing Oliver & Persephones story, knowing how they end up with three awesome children, pure gold. Then, how it even relates to present times with Diego & Sloan's story is a huge bonus.

The narration was excellent.

Two awesome stories from past and 'present'

It was so fun seeing Oliver and Persephone Ward's origin story. I should've expected they began much like the rest of the characters in the series began their HEAs...tons of danger, action, and suspense as passion burned between them. Learnimg more about them was enlightening...Persephone was an interesting contradiction and definitely tough and independent...I see where her children get their toughness from, and Oliver was no slouch either so double the bad to the bone genes for their kids.

Diego and Sloan's story had the enemies to lovers feel as they had to work together when their first meeting had been less than pleasant. But high chemistry and fighting for survival as Silk Road thugs infiltrated their treasure hunt sped them towards their own HEA. Sloan is another awesome female character with her DEA career and ability to throw down herself with the bad guys...and Diego is a smart man being intrigued and stary eyed over that instead of intimidated.

Stella Bloom provides awesome narration to bring all the characters to life.

prequel- the OG Wards

Love this double book that showcases Oliver and Persephone in book one, and continues with a related story for book two. Can you say Incan Emeralds?

As always, the story, characters, and settings are all well developed and suck you in.

A great Adventure Escape duo pack - Sit back & Enjoy!

Hackett novels allow me to step away from reality similarly as a Classic Errol Flynn movie rerun did as a child - just sit back and go along for the ride. I especially enjoy this Treasure Hunter Security Inc series with just a hint of “other-world.” I have these books in E format and have been purchasing and listening to the audios as I go. A worthwhile purchase for me. I’m sure to listen again in the future. A Great Escape Duo-pack near the end of the series. Ok as standalones.

Fun, Exhilarating and Steamy Adventures!

I really enjoyed these quick but captivating novellas.
The Emerald Tear allows us to get to know the parents of the adventurous siblings who run Treasure Hunter Security, Callum, Declan & Darcy. Oliver Ward is a well respected archeologist, and Persephone Blake is an independent, adventurous treasure hunter. Danger brings these opposites together, and the sparks ignite immediately. They team up to find a lost Incan emerald, but their approach to treasure seeking is completely different. As they get closer to finding the Emerald Tear, their lives are more imperil, not only from the jungle itself, but from black market thieves who want the artifact for themselves, and will stop at nothing to get it.

The Emerald Butterfly is about Diego, an ex navy SEAL who still loves being on the water as a captain of a salvage ship who we met in a previous book. Sloan is a DEA agent who enlists Diego to help her find a shipwreck, and it's priceless Incan emerald, to accomplish her dying grandfather's lifelong dream of finding the Emerald Butterfly. Their attraction builds as they work together locating the shipwreck. Just when everything is going their way, from finding the emerald, to giving in to their fiery chemistry, disaster hits and their lives are in danger from the Silk Road pirates who want the treasure for themselves. Now both SEAL and agent must use all their skills to make it back alive.

Stella Bloom does a great job bringing these fun, exhilarating, and steamy stories and characters to life! I was completely enthralled with her expressive narration as she took me on breathtaking adventures on land and sea!

Unidentified

This is such a great series. Each book in the series have a base in fact that can be researched to give the reader visuals of the terrain. As a fan of history, myths and adventure, this series feeds all three loves with plenty of steamy romance, which is the icing on the cake. Unidentified is actually 2 novellas, The Emerald Tear (book 1) takes place in the 1970's and is tells the story of how Dec, Cal & Darcy Ward's (owners of THS ) parents met on the hunt for treasure in the jungles of Ecuador. The Emerald Butterfly, the second book, is set in present day and brings the tale of Inca treasure full circle in the oceans off the Florida coast.
Unidentified is another thrill ride by Anna Hackett. Enjoy!
