About this listen

Megatron Loric Manfield is the definition of perfect imperfection. He knows who he is and whose he is. He is not scared to love—he just knows that when it comes along, he wants it to be God-sent. When the right woman comes along, he will fall in line to receive his favor.

Ruth Lindsay Gordon is saved, sheltered, and suffocated. Being a preacher’s kid is never easy and even harder when the preacher sometimes references himself more than the God he claims to serve. Desperately, she wants to be released from the hold that is her father, so she prays for God to send her Boaz.

They say to be careful what you pray for. You just might get more than what was anticipated. What happens when instead of sending Boaz, God sends a Mega Man?

Something to believe in

Although the father worked my nerves,I am glad Ruth didn't let it override Mega's pursuit. I enjoyed this ride to love.

Do you want a story that’s going to keep you entertained from beginning to end??

This had me entertained the entire time. I couldnt even pushed pause. Mega is my new book boyfriend and Myles has solidified his spot as my favorite male narrator. Mega was flippin hilarious and did not play about Ruth. He stood on business every single time no matter the time or the place. Ruth was so green especially for a 28yo but I’m glad she started coming out her shell. I highly recommend this!

Narrators can make or break books and personal it broke it for me specifically the female voice.

The words of Mega

"I love the toxic book based shi*! Since you like that, I'm about to - those nig*** names. Oh, yeah I'm about to War, Sir, Ocean, Demon, Smoke, Malice & Mehem TF outta your a$$!" This was a GREAT listen at work today. Blessings to the Author, love!

What Mega Wants Mega Gets

This wasn’t my first listen to a novel written by Mel Dau. There were so many good reviews, so I was excited to listen. The narration was great by Myles and Opal. The storyline was pretty good, had some funny moments. Ruth was brought up in a religious household, and her father was super strict that he wanted to control her every move. She did her best to please him, but it never seemed to be good enough. It made me think what did he have to hide - A LOT! Oh my goodness, Ruth’s father was living a double life, sad to say it always end up being someone that in a “highly favored” position. But what is done in the darkness will come to the light. Mega knew when he first laid eyes on Ruth that she was going to be his wife. He was going to make her his, and he would go above and beyond to protect her. He had an interesting profession, which he shared with her. Although she was a PK, she had fleshly needs, which she prayed that she would be forgiven. She appreciated that Mega was a man of God in his own ways. She admired him and grew to love and want to be with him. Mega would do his best to satisfy her in every way possible. Mega’s mom loved her and her mother loved Mega. Mega and Ruth for the win.

Cute Story, Horrible Narration

This was a good book. Mega's description was good enough to want to eat! The female narrator should stick to bubble gum romance novels. This urban/thug life is not for you, Sis. I don't know Opal and do not hate her. This is only my opinion.

Off the chain

This book was made good and had me laughing and talking to my car radio. I loved how Mega knew what he wanted, stood ten toes down, and never wavered. Her dad was A MESS!!!!

MEGATRON!!!

This man was so in love with this woman! I wish there was a little more back story to how they met, but I still enjoyed his steadfast pursuit of her as his wife. The narrators were a perfect fit.

I’d like to read Ned’s story as well. 🤞🏽
