Valley of Dreams

This is a new era of history for me ,introducing Native Americans into a well scripted story . I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series

Character name doesn’t match

The main character’s name didn’t match the book description. The book description says Abby but that is not what the narrator said.

Good beginning to a great story

But you have to read two more books to get an ending. The author did an excellent job explaining how ranchers survived before the automobile and the telephone were common to rural South Dakota.

Valley of Dreams a disappointment

The story was way to long. To much information on things irrelevant. I fell asleep.

The performance was good regarding characters but reading the story was sing son.

Left shaking my head...

While I found the premise and characters of this story interesting, I felt at times like I was reading an almanac, rather than Christian Romance. The details of wilderness survival and Ranch life were interesting, but it tended to get really bogged down in all the step-by-step details. Just about the time when I thought the story was about to get interesting, I hear the man's voice say "The End". I literally thought something must be wrong with the recording. So many loose ends, unanswered questions and unresolved conflicts... Plus, I have no idea what the moral of this book was. Usually you can walk away from a good book with a nugget of truth to carry with you. So much potential...and I really like the main character, but the end felt like the end of a chapter in the middle of the book, rather than the end of the book. I will be listening to the 2nd book in the series, if for no other reason than to feel like I actually finished the story, before moving on.
