This was a fantastic book. I couldn't put it down until I heard the entire story. Yes, I did sleep, but it wasn't by choice LOL. Looking forward to another one!

Love everything about this book!

Would you listen to Waiting for Summer's Return again? Why?

Yes. It was a very pleasant and entertaining listen. Although I am not familiar with Mennonite dialect, the narrator was likeable and quite enjoyable to listen to - good voice inflection and timing with her words.

Have you listened to any of Barbara Caruso’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to Barbara Caruso narrate Anne of Green Gables. Loved her there, also!

Any additional comments?

This storyline was very easy to follow. Since I was listening while at work, this is exactly what I wanted. Barbara really

I loved it!

Kim Vogel Sawyer is one of my favorite authors. She always has characters that deal with real issues and grow through them. This book did not disappoint! And the performance was great too. At first the accent seemed awkward to listen to, but as I got into the story I wouldn’t have it any other way!

This book has it all!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the narrator did a wonderful job. I’m a widow and also lost a son so I relate to the emotions of Summer, Peter and Nadine. Looking forward to the next in
this series. 5+ stars!

I didn’t think I would like this but I did.

A book about Mennonites…who knew ? The characters were a bit emotionally constipated that is my only complaint. All in all a gentle book. The narrator did an excellent job with the various voices.

A Must Listen

This was a such a great story. The story line was very well written, and the narrator did a outstanding job sounding out the different characters. Even my husband enjoyed listening to the story. We were on a road trip and I asked him if he wanted to listen to the story. To humor me he did and ended up liking the story. This isn't my husbands type of book, but he thought the characters were interesting. If you like Historical Romance you'll love this one!

best one so far

I have listened to a few of this author's books. the narration for this one starts out a little rough but Caruso does an excellent job with a German accent. overall, it is consistent with Sawyer's Christian emphasis and message without being trite, sappy, or invasive. this is my favorite Sawyer books so far.
