About this listen

Book 6 in the million-copies-sold Black Flagged Series by Wall Street Journal and number-one Amazon best seller Steven Konkoly

Vindicta picks up where Omega ended, pitting General Sanderson's surviving Black Flagged operatives, backed by a motley collection of allies, against a monstrous plot to reshape America in the warped image of a recently elected national populist administration—True America.

With only one shot at stopping conspirators within the administration from permanently altering the future trajectory of the United States for the worse, the Black Flagged crew triggers Vindicta, a daring, multi-pronged operation to put an end to the madness and rot within the True America movement—once and for all.

Narration of final book killed the finish. Loved the story line and characters though.

Great series, except narration of final book

I like the author but I really wish they used the same narrator as the first 5 books.

Good follow-up if the first 5 books

Steven Konkoly is one of my favorite authors. I've listen to Black Flagged 4 times. Same with the Zulu Virus books. They're so good. I was excited to get to finish the story, but disappointed when I realized they changed the narrator. I don't know who this guy is, but he's a terrible story teller. It's completely ruined the book. Who have him his job. I used to really look forward to listening, now it's barely tolerable. I don't know if I can even complete it. I'm actually sad about it. They need to re-release it read by John David what's his name.

It's just too bad...

Only complaint was a different narrator being used made it a little difficult to follow at first especially if you listen to the five previous books first. Otherwise a great ending to the series

Only one complaint

The story was great as always. I'm sad that series is. over. I'll definitely be reading other works by Konkoly. But as most as other reviewers said, the narration was awful. I pushed my way through it, but if I ever see this guy narrating another book I will not listen.

Terrible Narrator

I'm not sure why the author would suddenly choose to pick a different narrator for this book after five novels using the same person to do the narrating? It was a horrible way to end this series, which I loved overall. I found myself wanting to walk away from this book, not even caring how it ended.

Why would you change the narrator now!

I knowingly bought and listened to book 6 of the series even after reading the reviews. I have to agree with the majority that the reader in this last installment was very disappointing. I think he litteraly pinched his nose for General Sanderson's unique (in the readers mind) voice. Not at all the confident and commanding sounding voice that John David Farrell created in the first 5 books. Daniel Petrovich also not what I had become used to and looked forward to hearing again from such a scary character. The story continues to be a good read or listen to though.

disappointing, but had to hear it

Come on. The reader couldn’t even do a New England or Russian accent. Expect better.

Poor narration

I enjoyed the wrap up of the series, but the new narrator wasn't all that great. He kept pronouncing the word RETICLE as RECK ticle, which drove me nuts. Plus the accents that the characters had from the first book through Omega took a hit with the new narrator as well. Again, the story was good, but a narrator can utterly mess up an great work.

Good wrap up of the series, but...

The first 5 books in the series were narrated very very well by the same man, then book six was narrated by what could best be described as an emotionless bot. Very disappointing.
