About this listen

This is Koenig's story from growing up as the neurotic child of Russian immigrants in 1940s Manhattan through his rise to Star Trek fame as Pavel Chekov, Russian navigator of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and beyond.

Koenig's very human narrative is full of the kind of insecurities and quirks to which anyone can relate. With wry wit, striking candor, and a true gift for storytelling, Koening takes us on a sometimes bumpy but often hilarious trip through his galaxy. Blind faith and a healthy sense of irony seem to sustain him as he relates a steady stream of anecdotes.

Of course, this amusing memoir also takes us behind the scenes of Star Trek, with fresh perspectives not only on the cast members themselves but also on the development and evolution of the sci-fi legend. Having also enjoyed both critical and popular success on Babylon 5, Koenig has repeatedly confirmed his enduring position in science fiction's acting pantheon.

Mr Koenig I want to thank you for undertaking this work and sharing it with your fans.

Not only did I come to understand more about you not cekov, but you. in addition, I learned more about myself and that made me feel an inward strength that I don't think I have ever felt before.

tears welled up in my eyes. The same way tears appeared when my mother, my savior, said something that made a profound impact on my life.

I have so much more I would like to say to you. However, I think it to be more appropriate to tell in a fan letter.

Best Wishes
Joan M Findlay

What did you like best about Warped Factors? What did you like least?

Mr. Koenig does a good job presenting his story. It had some twist and turns that gave me an insight on his true self. I was a little disappointed in the story itself. As a long time fan in was a bit surreal to hear that it was just another job. I understand that, but it didn't make any more fun to read.

A good read that shines a light on Mr. Koenig.

This autobiography is old. More than 25 years. It’s ok, but it’s nothing recent. It’s good, but could’ve been so much better.

This should’ve had updates entered

Loved the book and loved that it gave a very candid picture of the television industry during the time of Star Trek and later Babylon 5.

Thank you Walter

An emotional look at an underrated actor, writer and human being; beautifully performed by the author and subject.

I have read and reread many of the memoir of the trek cast. This one was one of the last one to read. Really disappointing written like a 5th grade who just discovers a thesaurus. Tried way too hard to sound sophisticated, but really came off sounding like he was trying to write a book because everybody else did .

Worst star trek memoir book ever.
