All Katie wanted was a fresh start.
TerraMates was supposed to provide Katie with a life on a new world and an opportunity with an alien husband. She had everything planned except for the assault on the TerraMates shuttle and her abduction.
Now she's all alone, surrounded by a violent alien race hell-bent on invading Earth. Her only hope is a threatening alpha military hero. Are they soulmates? Can an Earth girl's destiny be intertwined with an alien?
This story takes place in the TerraMates universe, but can be heard as a stand-alone novel.

A lot of story!

Troxio is a warrior who obeys orders but he is at a loss as to understand what his commander wants with a human, especially a female. Troxio is a confusing character, he is a total contradiction being both aloof and protective towards Katie so you just don't know what to expect from him.
This wasn't my favorite book of this series so far, because Katie and Troxio's relationship didn't actually gel until the end of the book, for the most part, the chemistry and connection Lisa Lace is so good at writing are missing. Troxio was harder to connect with than most of the other males in this series although I did warm to him slightly at the end.
The narration was very well done and did add to the story for me. I do own the ebook of this story but I read it some time ago so I came to the story fresh so to speak.
I was given a copy of this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Any additional comments?
Katie has always had a fascination with aliens. When her heart is broken she accepts TerraMates call for brides and escapes to a new life on the planet of Bonaan. While on her journey her ship is boarded and she is kidnapped by a soldier from Oretoz. They want a normal human so that they can get information about Earth but Katie is just an average citizen and has no information to share. Troxeo, the alien warrior who captured her realized from the moment he met het that there was nothing average about her and she makes him feel things, things that as the good little soldier he is, he has never felt before. After an extremely scary entrance into this new alien world will Katie learn to love her captor? This book was great but there are so many unanswered questions. loss ends that were not tied up. I think it needed a few more chapters but I really did enjoy it.
This one NEEDS another book!

Each TerraMates story is unique, exciting with great world building and character development. This is one of the few series you can actually listen too the stories in any order, which is a refreshing change from other series.
Warrior Invasion was great, and the plot was a little more intense than some of the other stories; however, I felt the ending was a little rushed and should have been developed little bit more. Other than that, I enjoyed Kate and Troxeo's story.
This is the first audio I've listen too that was narrated by Terrence Bayes and though he did a great job.
Not bad at all! I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
