About this listen

When mother-of-two Louisa doesn’t return home from work one night, her husband raises the alarm. Investigating the workshop where she ran her mail-order business reveals signs she was taken by force – and DCI Warren Jones is put on the case.

As Warren and his team begin to dig into the missing woman’s life, a complex network of relationships emerges. Who is Louisa’s husband talking to on his second, secret phone? What’s the truth about her relationship with the convicted criminal who works next door? And what happened to Louisa’s university housemate a decade ago?

Can the team break through the lies and get to the truth?

Another great DCI Warren Jones mystery from Paul Gitsham and Malk Williams! Twisting and turning through a cast of characters that both interest and envelope the listener. As always, Malk Williams provides superb narration and gives voice to Mr. Gitsham’s characters.

Thoroughly Enjoyable!

Talk about lies!!! Who’s telling the truth and who isn’t? What a confusing mess for DCI Jones and his team.

An excellent story with a fabulous narrator.

Wow. That was one that kept me wondering to the end. Can’t wait until the next in the series comes out

I have listened to the series from the beginning and did not enjoy this one as much as the earlier ones. So much of the story is talk, sometimes beyond what is needed, with little description of setting or action for balance. I may keep listening, but only because I'm already invested in the characters.

Well crafted but far fetched
