READ BY ANDREW RIDGELEY

For the first time, Andrew Ridgeley - one half of one of the most famous bands in the world - tells the inside story of Wham! and his life-long friendship with George Michael.

It is 1975, Watford, and two teenagers, George and Andrew, meet for the first time. Bonding over their love for singing, song writing and pop music, together they set out to follow an impossible dream.

They didn't know it then, but they were taking their first steps towards forming Wham!, a band that was to become one of the biggest in the world.

Wham! were the soundtrack of the 80s; whether it was choosing life or Live Aid, the decade of flamboyance and fun was a party that seemed like it would never end. But it had to stop somewhere - and that was in front of tens of thousands of tearful fans at Wembley Stadium in 1986.

In Wham! George and Me, Andrew Ridgeley tells the story of Wham! - from the day they met to that iconic final concert. For the first time, he reveals what it was like being at the centre of a pop hurricane and talks of his love for and friendship with George. It's a story only he can tell.

Well Worth the Read/Listen

Absolutely awesome book. Wham and George Michael have had a spot on my playlist since I was barely able to speak, and George remains my favorite artist. It was great to hear the backstory and inner-workings of the band, as well as Andrew's thoughts and memories. The book is not short at all, but it's so interesting and easy to listen to that I couldn't help but wish there was more as it wrapped. Thank you, Andrew for offering this to the world.

wham, bam thank you ma'am!

George and Andrew were on posters on my wall growing up. so this was a fun look into how they became famous. Andrew never betrayed George's trust even in writing this- no salty drama here. just 2 grateful guys happy to have a band. it was so sad as he learned of his friends death on Christmas. I really enjoyed this book!

Smashing!

This was a wonderful and heart felt book. I enjoyed every moment. Andrew’s narration brought the happiness and sadness that could only come from him and not another narrator. It’s a must listen!

WHAM! George and Me

Great story! Glad there wasn’t a lot of focus on George’s passing- Andrew said what he needed to say about it & that’s all that was needed. Wished Andrew had talked/written more about what George would recall several times- the girls he would swipe from him! Would of been fun hearing about that.

But a fabulous book Andrew! Well written!

From the man who knew George Best..

This is one story that Wham Fans need to hear... Even though Andrew went on to work to help the Earth... He was a friend and co player in the super group Wham! Here is Andrew talking about his career with George Michael... The audio book brings the story into a heartwarming and yet heartbreaking focus... This book needs to be heard and he was so much more then a side man to George Michael.... Told with love and respect....

Love this narration and the story

I am already a huge George Michael fan, Andrew Ridgeley did a fantastic job writing this book. He is wonderfully talented and witty and funny. I enjoyed every second of hearing him narrate his book. I am so glad he decided to write it and I hope its very profitable. I have heard some early reviews of his written version and it is very well recieved by WHAM! fans!! This gives us a much better look at George and his personal life, but without being too open about his private life. I am also so glad that Andrew beat a certain "boyfriend" (and i use that term loosely) to the punch on the book writing. Great Job Andy!!
