Publisher's summary

She's learned all about killers

They aren't the kind of women anyone misses. Truck-stop hookers, runaways...no one would even notice they'd disappeared if the killer didn't photograph their lifeless bodies, posed in the back of a semi-trailer. Exactly like the infamous Trucker murders. But this isn't just a copycat. It's a vendetta.

Now he'll teach her

Carmen Jacobs interviewed the world's most terrifying serial killers for her best-selling book, The Heart of a Predator. The police might not believe her, but she knows there's a monster out there, paying homage to other murderers. The only person who can predict where he'll strike next is Griffin Archer - a reclusive software millionaire with ample reason not to help her.

How to die

Carmen has charmed her way past Griffin's defenses before. He didn't intend to let it happen again. But with a psycho sending her trophies of his kills, he has no choice but to get involved. The clues point to a killer obsessed with Carmen - someone who knows her work, her past, her secrets. Someone who won't be satisfied until he has made all her deepest fears come true.

Not bad. Decent listen.

It's a decent story but the villains give long winded speeches that give away their plan and gives the hero time to act. A little corny. I'd say it's still worth a credit though.

What a ride

Psychological thriller with some steamy romance. Checks all the boxes, with twists and turns as you follow the trail.

TSTL - Too stupid to live!

SPOILERS!!! You've been warned. But the spoilers only come from the first 2 hours of the book because I could make it no further. I have NO idea how this book got such high ratings. The heroine is supposed to be this very smart author who writes about serial killers. But when she receives 5 photos of dead women and she is afraid there is a copy cat killer mimicking the star of her latest book, she does everything to contradict what she should have done. In her book, she criticizes harshly small town police. So she heads to the nearest small town and talks to a deputy sheriff. Surprise! He held her criticisms against her. What should she have done? Anyone who writes about serial killers knows they are the purview of the FBI. Why didn't she call them? Instead, she goes to Griff, our hero. He helps her just enough to send her on a chase to the killer, even though he tells her he'll pass it on to the FBI. She goes killer hunting alone and he has to chase her. Then he has to point out to her that she fits the killer's profile physically. She's like, but I looked at all the characteristics like age, race, ethnicity, etc. But she didn't notice they were all young, blonde, slim and white! Just like she is! I don't know what happened after that. I quit! BTW, I can't respect authors who glorify killers by writing about them. Attention is one of the things they crave!
