About this listen

My name is Sophie. This book is about me. It tells the heart-stoppingly riveting story of my first love. And also of my second. And, okay, my third love, too.

It's not that I'm boy crazy. It's just that even though I'm almost 15 I've been having sort of a hard time trying to figure out the difference between love and lust.

It's like my mind and my body and my heart just don't seem to be able to agree on anything.

This is a cute story and a boy-crazy teen girl, who is on the prowl to date the hot guys. While these relationships are exciting at first, the soon lose their luster. When Sophie stumbles in Murphy, the not-hot boy in her art class, she discovers some beautiful beyond the surface. Written in verse, the moves along through the main characters voice within a series of short somewhat poetic chapters.

cute story about liking somehow for their insides

Summer vacation 1st year of highschool, (2008/2009) I randomly found this book in a public library and quickly read the entire thing while waiting for my mother to pick me up. I was engulfed and couldn't help loving it due to the fact that her just knowing things, love for art, and train of thoughts are so similar to mine. I dreamed of having a knowing yet unknowingly experience of meeting "the one" like her "masked man." fast forward 3 years later, I did. 10 minutes before leaving at 2 am, I danced with a boy, at my uncle's small family wedding celebration in their trailer home. We danced 2 songs. He wasn't the most handsome I've ever seen, but before realizing that months later, despite us not wearing any masks and the small space, I recall not remembering his face. Only how we different and right it felt while dancing together. Anyways, after that life and relationship experience, I searched everywhere for this book. My boy dancer is no longer "the one" in my heart, but this simple prose narration still gave me the butterflies, heart thumping, lovey dovey crush feels that I missed as a teen and I needed to find it. Fast forward to now, April 11th 2018, unplanned, I saw my Goodreads thread, asking to find that book, was answered. I downloaded the audio, and listened to it completely while working. The Narrator read it almost as I do in my head. I'm so happy. So satisfied of this instant gratification (yet not so instant). It's simple, yet one of my life favorites. Sometimes simple is, well, a lot. If you love, real love, and appreciate the simple things in life. I recommend this book no matter what age. Blessings.

For school we had to read a book that was banded for something and i chose this book. Its a very weird book and not written intelligently (no offense). Its very short read and not boring just weird.

Very strange book
