About this listen

The purr-fect mystery series for fans of Ghosts and Ghost Whisperer.

Scarlet Sanderson sees dead people. Literally. As a reluctant conduit between the land of the living and the dearly departed, she is doing her best to have a life of her own.

With an inheritance from her grandmother and the dream of opening a flower shop, she seeks out the peace and quiet of a small coastal town, thinking surely there won't be many spectral residents.

Unfortunately, she didn't fully do her homework. Beechwood Harbor is a paranormal haven, and there's a lot more than ghosts waiting to roll out the welcome wagon.

What a Ghost Wants is the prequel novella to The Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mysteries series.

What a great prequel

This story explains how all the main characters ended up in Beachwood harbor. We get more of the back story and why the main character was there in the first place. It sets the tone for the rest of the series. Plus it was nice to learn how everyone met.

Fun

Fun prequel to how Scarlett moved the Beechwood Harbor. I’m happy that Danielle is adding to this series.

did not disappoint!

As with the rest of the series this book had me captivated to the end. I even rewound a couple spaces when I got busy and couldn't focus!

A cute intro

This is a great little introduction to Scarlett, Flapjack and Hayward how they found themselves as the newest residents of Beechwood Harbor.

Prequel

I liked hearing the introduction to Scarlets life in Beachwood. Nice short mystery, but would only buy on sale. Short story is not worth full price.

Prequels are fun for many reasons. Loved the meet cute for Hayward and Gwen and seeing how Scarlet arrived in Beechwood.

Always great to hang with Scarlett and here ghosts

It's a short but wonderful story! I'm always happy to visit Beechwood Harbor, Scarlett, and Flapjack. I only wish it was longer.

Fan

Love, love that Flapjack was back and still being his snarky self, and questions answered about how they all got to Beechwood Harbor. The series is wonderful. You will laugh at Flapjack and when Hayward and Flapjack get to arguing, it is so funny. Love the author and narrator

Great prequel

This is a great read/listen on its own, but it is also a satisfying prequel to an engaging series.
The characters stay true to themselves, and Garrett as an author does not overstep the timeline in any aspect. It’s a good cozy ghost mystery and a successful introduction to Beechwood Harbor and some of the key characters and settings for the later books while being a great story in its own right.
My only wish was that it was longer because I got caught up in the storytelling once again and didn’t want it to end.
Ronconi’s performance is masterful, keeping true to known voices and creating new characters’ voices believably.
