About this listen

Welcome to Beechwood Harbor. A rustic, coastal town where paranormals live among humans, undetected - at least, so far.

Scarlet Sanderson isn't a paranormal being per se, but she's no stranger to things that go bump in the night. She's had the ability to see and speak with ghosts since she was eight years old. Whether it's a gift or a curse is still up for debate.

She moved to the picturesque town of Beechwood Harbor to open a flower shop and start a new life after years of being a nomad. What she didn't expect to find was a town filled with witches, vampires, shape-shifters, and ghosts. So, so many ghosts.

With her sarcastic ghost cat and a stately 20th-century gentleman by her side, she can take on the world. She just wishes that world would stop landing her in the middle of murder investigations. Cold case murders, reckless poltergeists, and depressed specters are becoming Scarlet's new normal. But how in the Otherworld is she supposed to have any kind of real life when she's stuck halfway between the world of the living and the dead?

Fun Cozy Mystery

These books don’t follow a set formula, they are all different stories and plots using the same characters and setting. But you don’t feel like you’ve listened to the same book three times at the end of them. Highly recommend! Fun, likable characters, just enough mystery to keep you guessing.

Each book was different

This series of books was fun! I loved the ghost characters and found myself enjoying the pace the story and the characters. Not serious literature, but perfect for a day of cleaning doing hobbies or driving. I really did enjoy the stories

I'm on Book Number 4 at this point. Books 1-3 were so great that I didn't even take a break in between. These are nice fun, light reads! Not heavy on the romance, which I like. These books all focus mainly on the actual mystery and finding who the killer was. This is important--the amount of characters in the book is perfect! I never had to go back and rewind and wonder "who is that?"... the character descriptions are very well done. Some books are over-descriptive just to make a book more words. This author gives the perfect amount of detail so that I could picture each character clearly in my mind. I like listening to these as I am getting ready for work in the morning. I also really like the length of these books. This author is not giving me a ton of information that I do not need. The author starts each book with a nice description reminding you who each character is then it gets right into the case. And there are no cliffhangers into the next book. Each book has a great satisfying ending. I also like the main character, Scarlet, who isn't playing games by not telling Lucus stuff. She might keep things for a minute but she soon fills him in. So, it's also not a book where she's trying to keep this huge secret from her boyfriend. I'm so glad I found this author and these books. I'll continue reading the Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mysteries until I have read them all (and I hope more are to come). I'll be sure to read her other books as well. These would make a great TV show. One mystery per episode.

Fantastic books! A fun read.

Ok a little embarrassed to admit but I LOVE this series too! It was hard to love another character, but Scarlet brought me around. At first, she was a little whiny and spoke as if she was aggravated all the time, and her sharp tone was almost a deal breaker. As I made it through 1/2 of the first book she softened a little bit and I hung on. As scarlet matured so did her temperament and of course I love her as much as Holly. Amanda of course does an exquisite performance once again ❤️

Danielle does it again
