Life works in mysterious ways. Four years ago, I became known as the girl with cancer. I refuse to cry. And I refuse to give in. A relationship with a man is the last thing I'm looking for right now, but one night with Parker changes everything. He is persistent, and he knows what he wants. He doesn't treat me like I'm fragile. But he doesn't know, and I'm not ready to tell him.
What if it changes everything? Tragedy found me when I was 17. Love found me when I was 21. My name is Aundrea McCall, and this is my journey.
Contains mature themes.

Happily, at least from my point of view, it went towards reality, until the end, when the author looses her courage and turns things into a dream. Of course, in order to make this a series, that had to happen, but it was still a disappointment.
Very realistic

I loved the relationship she has with her sister and her brother in law. It really was a great story of learning to live with what life has thrown at you and not let it beat you. She doesn’t feel sorry for herself; she doesn’t wish it to have happened to someone else. Does she ask why me sure who wouldn’t but again like I said her attitude is everything.
You know me I am not a dramalama kind of girl and I am so happy this book didn’t really have that, there were secrets and not full truths about her sickness but I got that for the most part. I can understand why she wanted to keep it to herself.
I really enjoyed the love story and how it unfolds with Parker. That to me made me enjoy the book she was dealing with so much but she had Parker to keep things into perspective even if he didn’t know he was doing it.
I think my only real complaint about this whole book was her parents, the author does explain them “away” and all but I don’t know they could have been on the phone, whatever it took to be a support for her. We only get a little of them and I don’t know it just was the only thing I wished had been different.
I am so glad the narrator was someone who can put emotion in her voice and make us feel some of what the character was feeling, she was a happy character who tries to make it as easy on everyone as much as possible and you can get that vibe from Amy London’s performance and that was pretty cool.
