About this listen

How far will he go to belong?

Fierce, famed Highland warrior Broch MacLeod has always been a bastard - until one day he isn’t. And now that he’s discovered his real family, he intends to do whatever it takes to carve a place for himself in it, including wedding the lass known as the Hellion of the Highlands.

What will she do for vengeance?

When strong-willed, independent Katreine Kinntoch is forced to wed her sworn enemy’s son, she vows never to surrender her body or heart to the wickedly handsome, too-cocky Scot. Instead, she intends to make him dislike her so much that he’ll gladly send her back to her home.

How long will it take them to see they are each other’s only hope?

Danger and treachery unexpectedly bring Broch and Katreine closer, but can they trust each other enough to choose love over the ties that bind and the revenge that burns all around them?

She is a hellion

I can't help but feel sorry for Katreine. I would hate to be forced to marry someone I didn't know.
Broch is her hated enemy because her sister died after being wed into his clan and was killed.
Tim Campbell again does a wonderful job as narrator. I love to listen to his voice. so many emotions and he brings everything to life.

Fabulous story

I love this author and love this story. It’s Katriona is a perfect match for the legend Brock, the chemistry between the two was like fire from the beginning I am so glad Bro l got his story although I am a tad sad he is no longer with the McLeods, HE was a McLeod said he didn’t ever truly believe it. I love the character of his dad and brother. The book was short but still packed a powerful punch. I loved how Brock loves her! On to the next one.

Beast and the hellion! These two are a perfect match. I was anxious to listen to Broch’s story and it does not disappoint. This story has it all. Well written, fast paced, full of intrigue and suspense.

When a Highlander Weds a Hellion

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns which change our path in life and perhaps even make us question why we made the choices we have in the past. All leading us to where we are in the present. Looking to the root of those choices gives us insight we may not have noticed at the time. This story is full of questions, doubts, unexpected outcomes and of course love. As always, Tim Campbell is an excellent narrator who is able to plunge you into the story through his amazing talent. A must read, and a must listen as far as the audiobook us concerned.

Loved It!

A short story, but jammed packed. One thing though, I didn't like the way Katreine would not give Broch a chance after finding out his background, however, I loved her strong independent spirit. I don't like to give spoilers, so I will say no more. Tim Campbell is great as always. I hope there is a book 9.

Disappointed

It seem this book was unfinished. I was disappointed that none of the MacLeods were mentioned in this book. Broch was like a brother to the MacLeods but he doesn’t let them know that he’s found his father and is next in line to be a Laird of his own clan, that he’s married and doesn’t take his wife to meet his MacLeods family. It’s like he left the Macleods to go on a mission for the king and never again contacted his MacLeod family. Other than that the book was enjoyable. I recommend. On to book 8.

T. Campbell’s compelling narration, as always.

Although I am a fan of J. Johnston’s stories, this was not my favorite. The plot was overloaded with obstacles that were contrived from misinformation rather than something to overcome.
